Early Access There has been some discussion/confusion about Steam Early Access and how and when everyone will get to play the game, so we wanted to clarify that nothing has changed with regards to our release plan, other than the fact that it was delayed while the GTG/Sentinels acquisition played out.
Sentinels 2 will be released this year (2026) on Steam through the Early Access Program.
Any Steam Keys purchased and delivered through this campaign or pre-order will be delivered on or before this first public release of the game.
Your Steam Key will not expire or become invalidated in any way when the Early Access period finishes and the game enters the Retail launch phase (aka 1.0).
What is Early Access? Steam Early Access is a great way to get a game in front of a wider audience, and get feedback from the general public to help us make it the best game it can possibly be. A game in Early Access is under active development and it will be updated regularly.You can think of it as a step between Beta and Retail release. There will be bugs, and some content is currently not available, but the game is much further along than what you might see in a Public Beta (see Steam's Early Access FAQ for more).
We use Early Access for most of our games, for lots of different reasons, and the feedback the process permits has made our games better in the long run.
The features and content available at Early Access launch will be a subset of the final 1.0 version, and everything will be added along the way during the Early Access period. Details about that will be forthcoming as we get closer to launch.
If you prefer, you're welcome to wait and play the game once the Early Access period finishes and we consider the game ready for retail launch. It's up to you!
The private beta program is currently underway and is unrelated to Early Access. Private beta testers are testing pre-release builds with new features and content before they are publicly available in any way.
