Anyways, we are still waiting on the manufacturer to send us the pre-production copy (PPC) to approve for mass production to begin.

We did receive some parts of the PPC, which include the cards, so to satiate some of your curiosity, here is a quick peek at those components! 😊

We're reprinting the Fractured Sky Deluxe and Super Deluxe games in French and German, as well as introducing a new micro expansion called Rift. If you're curious, you can watch the 2 minute How to Play Rift video below and we'll also be livestreaming while answering your questions!

Hey! Hope you've been well! We've got some spicy updates for y'all. 🌶️

The BackerKit surveys will be reopening tomorrow, Feb 1st! This means you will be able to add any items you may have forgotten the first time you submitted the survey. Just a reminder that BackerKit charges immediately the first time you submit the survey, but when you reopen it and submit a second time, it will charge the new balance on Feb 12 instead. Please let us know if this was not the case for you so we can address your order with BackerKit support! 

All orders will close on Feb 12, 2024 and to make sure your game is delivered in a timely manner, please make sure to complete your survey by that date. If you can't find the link to access it, please let us know at [email protected] and we can send you that link. Don't worry, we gotchu. We will send another update to remind you before Feb 12.

Yippee! Our files have been submitted and now we are just waiting on print samples! We expect production to commence after Chinese New Year, and we are still on track for our timeline. 

We got a sample of 5 aluminum dice, but there will be 12 dice total for the add-on. Aren't they just so snazzy?

We're rested, refreshed, and ready to get this project rolling so we can deliver it as soon as possible!

We will be starting with a smoke test of 5% of backers and if that looks good, the rest will go out soon, so don't panic if you don't get it immediately.

Late pledge is also available if you missed the campaign!

 

It’s important to respond to your survey because we need this information to fulfill your rewards. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. 

After you respond to your survey, you can go back in and change your responses after Feb 1 when we will reopen the surveys. On Feb 12, we will officially close the survey to get our final counts and you will no longer be able to make changes to your pledge. If you ever need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your original survey email.

If your original payment method failed in BackerKit, please email us at [email protected] and we will find alternative solutions so you will be able to access the pledge manager. 

We love meeting you and getting the games even sooner into your hands. We usually make it a day of playing games and hanging out--so it's a win-win. If you want to take advantage of local pickup, make sure you select "Local pickup" as your country in the very first step. This is only available in Nashville, TN.

We feel so fortunate to have such an amazing community of Moonrakers & Moonrollers enthusiasts. You are our greatest gift. (Was that too cheesy? Nah, you can never enough cheese 🧀)

Currently, we are in pre-production and waiting for more manufacturer samples from our most recently submitted files. These will likely arrive soon and we will be sharing those with you in January!

We will be opening the BackerKit pledge manger in January 2024, which is when you will be able to add any additional games or goodies. Don't worry, we will remind you in January before it opens. 😋

Also, the late pledge will open tomorrow evening and closes in February 2024. So if you know anyone who was sad about missing out on the campaign, let them know there's always a second chance or maybe it could even be someone's last minute Christmas present! No shame in last minute shopping but it can be crazy out there sometimes, and pre-ordering just makes everything easier.

Just to provide some clarification, the Moonrollers crew mates will not have the same ability as they do in Moonrakers, though the new one may be inspired by the original one. The crew mates will be rewired to have abilities more suited to help you survive the Moonrollers missions! They're risky individuals but the payoff is so worth it 😉

Hey y’all! We hope spring is bringing some pep to your step! We’re really enjoying the warmer weather and look forward to some outdoor gaming time 🦋

We wanted to let you know earlier than later with an update on this campaign’s projected timeline.

In our update last month, we were hopeful to receive a pre-production copy to officially approve for mass production to begin in March. Unfortunately, we still have not received those samples due to production delays in the factory and mis-deliveries from couriers. 

The original timeline had us approving samples over CNY and production beginning when the factory opened. The factory was unable to deliver the samples on that timeline and sent them at the beginning of March instead. Unfortunately, that package was misdelivered by the carrier and despite Austin driving around his town looking for them, we were unable to recover them. We are waiting on additional samples to be made and sent now. 

While we originally planned to fulfill this campaign in June, the production delays will likely push that date to the autumn timeframe with a target month of August. Luckily, the harder samples involving the making of molds (like the metal hazard tokens and metal dice) are already completed, and they look great! So we just need to review the gameplay content like the cards, cubes, and boards when they come in.

Though we are still waiting on the main samples, we did receive some new samples of the boxes! 🎁

This is the Moonrollers box which is now slightly darker and more angsty than our prototype 🧛

Then we've got the Atlas box, a gloriously sleek solution to store all of your add-ons for superior shelf organization 🤌

We also got some of the standard hazard tokens in and they are looking dangerously cute 🥰

We're hoping to receive the MPC within the next few weeks so we can share an official preview of the game and approve for mass production to begin in April. We will continue keeping you updated about the status of production!

Also, our Veiled Fate Tribunal Kickstarter campaign is currently live and we're already over 800K in funding! 🤯 It's incredible how much support we've seen, and it's still open until April 2, 2024 if you're interested in a great strategic deduction game for 2-8 players!

We're still reeling from how fast January happened, but we wanted to send a couple of reminders before the Lunar New Year! 🧧

 

To make sure we are on schedule for a delivery in summer 2024, we will be closing the pledge manager surveys next Monday, Feb 12, 2024. This means it will be locked and you will no longer be able to make changes to your order. Late pledges are also closing soon, so this is your last chance to make a pledge or add any last minute add-ons!

Most cards should have charged after the first survey completion, but if that was not the case for you, we will be charging cards for any remaining balances shortly after closing the survey. If there is still a remaining balance on your order after Feb 12th due to either a card error or missing payment information, your order will not be processed. Please make sure your payment was processed correctly by checking through this link: https://moonrollers-and-darkmatter-a-moonrakers-experience.backerkit.com/backer/review 

To access the Add-Ons, you can navigate to the "Review" page in the survey manager and click the "Edit Add-Ons" button at the very bottom of the page. You will also still be able to edit your shipping information up until we finalize addresses shortly before we start shipping. To do so, you will need to use the "Edit Shipping Info" button.

"Closing" the pledge manager means we are preparing to place our production order and can no longer accept new orders. We take into account all pledges already made, but incomplete pledges on BackerKit will no longer be able to add new items. Feb 12th is the last day that you're guaranteed to be able to add new things to your pledge.

We were at PAX Unplugged this past weekend and we had an amazing time meeting so many of you! Watching people play Moonrollers was very entertaining with so many cheers, tears, and every possible human emotion all wrapped into 1 game. We loved seeing everyone smile when they pushed their luck just enough to achieve sweet victory.

Two New Gameplays! 😎

We just uploaded two new gameplay videos on YouTube! The first is a Moonrakers game in which we miiiight get a little to carried away with Dark Matter. The second is another Moonrollers game featuring some exceptionally bad rolls and poor play :)

New Add-ons ➕

Like those light-up beacons on the top of the mountains in the Lord of the Rings, you let us know that help was needed... in the form of extra dice and Starfall.

The add-ons section of the campaign now includes an extra set of dice and the Starfall micro-expansion.

The reason you may want an extra set of dice would be to transplant Intrepid into a Moonrakers Titan or Platinum box. There's no designated spot for 12 dice in either box, but they would fit in random places—especially if your game isn't sleeved.

Starfall was first introduced during the Fractured Sky campaign and will begin shipping to those backers in January. Please keep in mind that you will be able to get Starfall sooner ordering from our webstore in February if you are in our shipping zones of the US, Canada, UK, and most of the EU.
