Meet the Chronic Critters, a group of microwaveable and weighted plushies designed to represent the disabled and chronic illness community! Our plushies are 18" tall and weight 1kg (2.1lbs), with our two jumbo plushies measuring 28" tall and weighing 1.6kg (3.6lbs)!

Chronic Critters are designed to be not only cute, cuddly and therapeutic but to also represent the disabled community! Each Critter is thoughtfully designed to represent their respective disability, featuring each condition's name on their spine, a butt stamp with a symbol that represents the community, as well as the Critters features, including their colors, accessories and even what species they are!

Our mission is to uplift and celebrate those with disabilities, their journeys and their struggles. We want you to be able to see yourself and feel represented in the things you love! Even if you aren't disabled, there's a Chronic Critter waiting to become friends with you! Together we can foster a more loving and accepting world- one plushie at a time!

INTRODUCTION AND FIRST LOOK: Fable the Poetic Arctic Fox with Bipolar Disorder!

Meet our second to last critter for series 2, Fable the Poetic Arctic Fox with Bipolar Disorder!

Fable is a bright, intelligent and creative arctic fox with bipolar disorder and a deep love for poetry and writing. Fable finds poetry to be a therapeutic outlet and a way to process how he’s feeling, during good times and bad. If he’s in an episode, Fable may write dozens of poems a day, or struggle to finish one- whether manic or depressed.

He runs a blog where he shares poems about his experience living with bipolar disorder, as well as educating and working to break stereotypes. Just like his swirling coat, Fable’s emotions blend and flow amongst each other- they don’t jump back and forth from color to color.

Through his poetry and blog, Fable hopes to help people understand that Bipolar Disorder isn’t jumping from mania to depression, but a complex shift and blend of emotions that overlap and intertwine.

We absolutely love his tie dye fabric choice- we actually picked it before we colored his design to make sure we had a perfect color match!

Fable is looking great, but he still needs some changes!

FIRST LOOK- Lia’s (Almost!) Final Sample!

SURPRISE!! Lia the Cow’s sample is FINISHED!!

She came out almost perfect t with her first sample and all we had to do was adjust colors!! The only change we may make is making her spine embroidery a little smaller!!

She is an absolute favorite of ours and oh so cute! Her limb difference came out great first try as well- we’d been a bit worried it would be the same length as her full arm but without a hoof, but they got it just right!

We hope you guys love Lia as much as we do!

INTRODUCTION: Lia the Cow with a Limb Difference!

Meet our ELEVENTH series 2 critter, Lia the Gentle Cow with a Limb Difference!

Lia is a soft-spoken, gentle cow, as well as Cuddle Cove’s resident florist! She loves nothing more than growing flowers of all kinds in her greenhouse and creating beautiful arrangements for all of her friends! Every day, Lia sets off to the park with her cart to set up her flower stand and see her friends! Lia was born with a limb difference and is missing part of her left arm, which used to make it challenging for her to use tools in her garden. With the help of her friends, Lia made a set of adaptive tools to make gardening more accessible for her! Becoming a florist taught Lia about more than just arranging flowers; it taught her how to use her creativity to make her life more accessible!

SAMPLE UPDATE: Matcha the Alpaca with Scoliosis!

Matcha’s second sample is done!! He’s already looking 10x better, but we’ve still got some tweaks to make him perfect!

🍵 Move eyes, eyebrows and blush forward
🍵 Add spinal fusion scar to neck/back of head
🍵 make spine embroidery slightly smaller
🍵 change inner ear fabric to minky
🍵 make a smaller divot in his hooves + make them more cylindrical
🍵 make his back brace

INTRODUCTION AND FIRST LOOK: Matcha the Alpaca with Scoliosis!

Meet Matcha the Affable Alpaca with Scoliosis!! 🍵

Matcha is a caring alpaca who is a friend to everyone and loves yoga! Matcha lives with scoliosis and had a spinal fusion surgery to straighten his spine. He still has to wear a brace while he recovers to help support his spine and ribs, as well as to help manage swelling and pain. Although it won’t cure him, Matcha finds enjoyment in yoga, especially outside in the sunshine. Yoga helps him stretch out his muscles so they don’t get too tight and he finds the sunshine relaxing! He enjoys teaching his friends yoga poses and having group sessions with his friends! Matcha has a long road to recovery ahead of him, but there’s nothing he can’t do without his friends!

We absolutely love his curly fur! He’s got quite a few tweaks we made, but he’s coming along great!

Matcha will come with his very own scoliosis brace that you can also get as an add-on for the other critters!!

Other tweaks we’ll he making are:
🍵 lower his facial features- move mouth of nose down
🍵 make border and text on spine green
🍵 bigger butt stamp
🍵 change hoof shape
🍵 adjust ear shape
🍵 lighter brown hooves
