Launching

October 2026

Meet the Chronic Critters, a group of microwaveable and weighted plushies designed to represent the disabled and chronic illness community! Our plushies are 18" tall and weight 1kg (2.1lbs), with our two jumbo plushies measuring 28" tall and weighing 1.6kg (3.6lbs)!

Chronic Critters are designed to be not only cute, cuddly and therapeutic but to also represent the disabled community! Each Critter is thoughtfully designed to represent their respective disability, featuring each condition's name on their spine, a butt stamp with a symbol that represents the community, as well as the Critters features, including their colors, accessories and even what species they are!

Our mission is to uplift and celebrate those with disabilities, their journeys and their struggles. We want you to be able to see yourself and feel represented in the things you love! Even if you aren't disabled, there's a Chronic Critter waiting to become friends with you! Together we can foster a more loving and accepting world- one plushie at a time!

Introduction and FIRST LOOK: Hex the Deaf Bee!

Introducing our next series 2 critter… Hex the Deaf Bee!! Hex represents the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community! Hex comes with two removable cochlear implants!

Hex has a big love for all things mysterious and magical! You will almost always find her surrounded by tarot cards, crystals, candles, and other magical trinkets.

Sometimes people don’t know how to communicate with Hex, but that’s okay! She doesn’t expect everyone to know sign language, but what matters to her is that they’re willing to learn or try! Hex loves teaching and introducing her friends to Deaf culture, and teaching them new signs.

Hex has cochlear implants that she wears sometimes! Cochlear implants are small devices implanted into the inner ear, called the cochlea, with a receiver implanted on the skull! Her implants mimic the function of a healthy inner ear and replace the function of damaged sensory cells in her ear! Hex doesn’t wear them all the time and enjoys silent moments as she grew up with no hearing, so sounds can be overwhelming for her!

Hex serves as a reminder that you can communicate in different ways while still enjoying time with friends!

Fun Fact: bees use a complex system for communication, such as specialized movements (like the waggle dance), chemical scents, and physical touch!

Hex’s first sample draft is done and she’s already looking adorable! Since we already have a body shape template, sample production is a lot easier on our designers as they can take the base pattern and adjust it to create each critter’s features!!

Our designers are currently working on creating her cochlear implants, which will be removable!

For now, they will only fit Hex as they will have Velcro attachment points on her head for the transmitter and the receiver will be sized to fit around her antennae! We are working on a design that will fit other critters that will be an add-on accessory either during the campaign or as a post-campaign preorder!

Due to having 4 arms, Hex will not fit in our Emotional Support Critter (ESC) jackets. We might make a Hex-specific jacket, especially if we plan on making other 4-armed critters!

We’ll be making the following changes for Hex’s second sample:
- making her facial features bigger (eyes, nose, mouth)
- bigger chest fluff
- change spine embroidery to read “Deaf/HoH”
- make nose 3D
- add velcro (the soft side) to the side of her head for attaching her cochlear implants

What do you think of Hex? Do you have any suggestions for other edits/changes?

FIRST LOOK: Dizzy the Frog with Anxiety Sample V1 🧡🌀

Hey Cuddle Cove!!

An unexpected surprise arrived in our inbox last night! Dizzy's first sample! We are so so excited she is finally in the works, and Series 2 will run so much smoother since we already have the samples ordered. We ordered the Series 2 samples a couple days ago and already have three new sample drafts to show you soon!!

Seeing Dizzy finally come to life after holding onto her design for over a year is so exciting! Her eyes and mouth look perfect!

However, we’re not quite sure how they got “Anxiety Diarrhea” out of “Anxiety Disorder”- we hope it makes y’all laugh as much as us!

We have a team of designers working on the samples and they will all hopefully be completed before launch and at the latest while the campaign is running!

This way, we can place the bulk order immediately as opposed to the issues we ran into for Series 1!

Dizzy’s changes will include:
- Making her lilypad a separate piece that’s sw onto her head instead of being part of her head
- add the swirly embroidery to her belly
- change her spine embroidery to “Anxiety Disorder”
- add nostril embroidery
- move her blush embroidery forwards

We will be revealing a new critter AND their sample FRIDAY!!

She’s so excited to meet you all and we hope you love her as much as we do!!

Introducing our next Critter- Meet Sherbet the Chameleon with Depression!
We just about made it to 250 project followers, so it's time to introduce our next series 2 critter!!

Meet Sherbet the Chameleon with Depression!
Sherbet is an adventurous Chameleon whose favorite sport is go-kart racing! He enjoys going to club racing events and dreams of one day being a Formula 1 racer.

For Sherbet, nothing beats the feeling of adrenaline as he navigates a course at high speeds- sharp turns, sudden breaking, and of course, being the first to cross the finish line!

Sherbet struggles with high-masking depression, putting a brave face and bright colors on when he's at his go-karting club or with friends. However, masking is exhausting and Sherbet will come home and curl up in his bed, losing a lot of his color. Chameleons change colors based on their emotions, which can make it very hard for him to hide how he's feeling in a depressive episode.

Sherbet's friends and therapist are always there for him and remind him that he doesn’t have to hide how he's feeling- it's important to be honest with yourself and others in order to make progress and heal!

Forcing yourself to be colorful is hard! Sherbet serves as a reminder to prioritize rest and rejuvenating so you can continue being the best version of yourself!

Our First Series 2 Critters! Mosi and Bloom!

Happy Disability Pride Month from our newest critters, Mosi the Disability Pride Tiger and Bloom the Invisible Disabilities Sunflower Lion!! They’re so excited to meet you!

Mosi’s name is short for Mosaic! Just like how mosaics are made up of a bunch of little pieces that make one huge picture, the disabled community is full of individuals that together create an amazing community!

Mosi wants to remind everyone that each and every single one of you make up the disabled community and make it a beautiful place!

Bloom is a bright Sunflower Lion who represents those with invisible disabilities! She’s inspired off of the sunflower lanyard used to indicate someone has an invisible disability and may need some extra help!

Bloom wants to remind everyone that it’s okay to need extra time, accommodations and that there’s never any shame in asking for extra help and support when you need it!

We’ll be releasing their plushie samples TOMORROW!!

Mosi is complete and will be on their way to us soon, and bloom is about 2/3 of the way done!!

They aren’t just any critters- they’re JUMBO!! They’ll be a whole 10” taller than our other critters at 28” tall!! They’ll also be 1.5kg (3.6lbs) for an extra heavy and cuddly critter!!

Mosi’s sample is already finished and we’re currently tweaking Bloom! If you can’t tell, her petals are just a hair gigantic, so they’re making them smaller to match her design! We’ll also be sliding her belly embroidery to the left a hair!!

Mosi and Bloom will also come in an 18” size!

The jumbo critters will be $85!

What do you think of these two!! We’re so excited to finally share them after a whole year!!

Meet… APPLE! The Thoughtful Anteater with ADHD

We hit 200 project followers for Series 2!!

We are so excited to introduce you Apple the Anteater with ADHD!!

Apple is a thoughtful anteater who loves math and science! Although her room is cluttered and her thoughts bounce around, Apple enjoys problem solving and finding solutions to her friends’ predicaments! Sometimes, she needs a reminder from a friend to eat or drink water when she gets her nose too deep in her math workbook, but Poppy and Clover bring her plenty of snacks! Apple is a meticulous thinker with a high attention to detail, making her every Critter’s go-to gal when they need help!

Apple was diagnosed with ADHD later in life because she did well in school and didn’t show stereotypical traits her teachers associated with ADHD. She has her days where she masks for too long and needs to rest, but has been working hard to learn that it’s okay to stay unmasked and that her friends love her for who she is!

Critter Fun Fact: While anteaters eat for 1-2 hours a day, they can only eat for around 60 seconds at a time! They visit 100-200 mounds a day for their food! It takes a lot of focus to stay on task and keep going from mound to mound without getting distracted!

Chronic Critters Series 2! Launching October 15, 2026!
We are so unbelievably excited to announce we have an approximate launch date for Chronic Critters Series 2!!!

We are aiming for launching on October 15th 2026!!

Now that we know the approximate timeline for when everyone will be getting their series 1 critters, we can finally share that we’ve been working on series 2 since last July!!

It’s been so hard to keep this a secret, but prioritizing making sure series 1 is wrapped up well before launching series 2 is extremely important to us!!

All s1 critters are estimated to get to their homes no later than the second week of August, but we anticipate them getting to a lot of y’all in July!

Our priority is making sure series 1 critters all are in their new homes before launching!

We have already been sampling a few s2 critters since Marchand are planning on having 5-6 completed samples by launch time!!

Of course, we’re bringing back Dizzy, Basil and Bubbles- who’s getting a design update- and are introducing 13 new critters and two more service puppies- Tuffy, and a new pup you haven’t met yet!

Not only that- we’ve got several accessories planned for the critters including the critter wheelchair!!

We cannot wait to share the new critters with you and they can’t wait to meet you! You’ll get to meet our first two critters on July 1st to kick off disability pride month!!!
