Project Update: A Long Overdue Update & A Commitment
Hello everyone,
First of all, I want to sincerely apologize for the long silence and the lack of updates. You all deserved much better communication from me, and I'm deeply sorry for that.
Until the end of last year, I went through a series of medical issues that put me in an incredibly difficult position, both emotionally and financially. Because I did not have proper health insurance coverage in Germany during that period, I accumulated a significant amount of medical debt that I had to deal with before I could move forward (and I would never think to ask for backers for more funding than what they paid for over my own personal issues). While recovering, I was embarassed with the situation and did now know how to properly explain until things got better... At the same time, I was still working on fulfilling projects that had started production before Little Hops of Hope.
I wish I had communicated more throughout this process. Instead, I found myself feeling completely overwhelmed and struggling to make progress while trying to solve one problem after another. That is not an excuse for my lack of communication, but I wanted to be honest with you about what happened.
I finally have some good news to share.
Now that I have been able to resolve those financial issues, production of the Little Hops of Hope pins is officially in its final stages. I know this update is long overdue, and I am incredibly grateful for everyone who has remained patient despite the long delay.
I also want to make a clear commitment to all of you: if the pins have not started being shipped out by November, every backer will receive a full refund. I take full responsibility for this project, and I want you to know that I am committed to either delivering the rewards you backed or making things right.
I know that trust is earned through actions, not words. From this point forward, I will do my best to provide more consistent updates so you know exactly where the project stands.
I know a 1 year delay is on fulfillment is far from ideal. Still, I thank you for your patience, your understanding, and for believing in Little Hops of Hope despite this horribly difficult chapter. I truly appreciate every single one of you, and I'm looking forward to finally getting these little bunnies into your hands.
With gratitude and hope,
Julia
