Hello hello ~

We're a little bit behind, thank you Covid, but its time for the campaign freebie round up to get us kicked off! Pintober is my favourite event of the year, so we always go a bit extra.

This year is our third round of the Curiosity Shop. Last year we had strange customers, and this year its strange cats ~. I was requested for a bit more lore this time, so I'm going to be putting little sections at the bottom of each news post for each of the character pin designs, so you can skip it if you'd rather. 

The Curiosity Shop is a place with many entrances, and doors that lead to many places. Its customers come from anywhere you can imagine, and they trade in everything interesting. 

Each funding goal will unlock one strange cat, along with their precious collections. Previews should be upcoming over the next two weeks, so keep an eye out for updates. Hopefully we have a bit of something for everyone this year.

Don't miss out on Pintober this year - back at least three Pintober projects, and receive a freebie from every Pintober project that you back. Ours is the iconic Swedish fish candy - 1 with gold plating, and printed details. It matches the rest of our pick n mix candy collection.

We are collaborating with the Bestiary this year, for even more Halloween themed cats. Definitely check them out! We're doing a linked lapel pin for backers who support both project (shipped by the Bestiary, who is usually much faster to fulfil than us!) Both pins are 1.75", gold plated and with UV printed details, linked by two gold chains. 

The colourway for our returning backer freebie is currently being decided by poll, make sure you vote below! The winner will be the tier one unlock, and the runner up will be the returning backer freebie. The pin will be gold or rose gold plated, 1.5" in size with printed details.

 
Early Birds will receive this oyster mushroom pin. The pin will be gold plated, 1.5" in size with printed details.

 Its what Halloween is about, after all.

Every pledge will receive a free (random) mini pin based on a classic British pick 'n' mix sweet. Gummy fish and strawberry kiss will be available from the first unlock tier of the campaign; a new design will unlock for every 50 backers we get. All the unlocked designs will be available to buy individually in the add-on store after the campaign is over. Backers will be able to choose to include the 2025 designs or stick to only the new 2026 ones, so you can avoid doubles for sure. 

 

The crow prize is a 1.5" feather mini pin, with gold metal plating and some print details. We're still using the rose finch colourway!

There are three ways to get this freebie. I'll be sending one to everyone on our community leaderboard - Backerkit keeps a list of the top 10 people who engage with a project. You can earn points by voting on polls, leaving comments and even liking updates. But don't worry if you don't quite scooch into the top 10, I'll be keeping an eye out for everyone who takes the time to comment regularly. 

The second way is to make a suggestion for a pin design, if we use it in the campaign you'll get a feather :).

The third way is to comment (nicely T_T) correcting something I've gotten confused. It just means that I can edit my update asap and stop things getting muddled. I'll leave a little 🪶under your comment if you catch me out :). 

Like last year, we'll be including the previous year's designs. Keep an eye on the front page to see exactly what's unlocked so far, because it might be a lot (and it will go by tier, not everything unlocks on the first tier just in case I need to restock). These designs will go into the general selection pool alongside the new ones.

We'll also have some mystery bags, you'll be able to see the selection there too; plus any designs for notebooks/washi tapes and what not.

Just to refresh;  Pins are now sorted into five categories;
Micro ~ 0.5"
Mini ~ 0.5" - 1.5"
Standard ~ 1.75"- 2"
Large ~ 2.25" and up
Premium/Special Effect ~ Quicksand and large stained glass pins.
Each design should be clearly labelled.
