Project Update: Furhaven Adventures is ready for print! ๐
Hello, adventurers!
We are so excited to say that the final edition of Furhaven Adventures is complete and ready to be sent to the printer! WHOOOOOOOOO! ๐
We know youโve been waiting longer than expected for the physical book, and we really appreciate your patience. There have unfortunately, been some elements that were out of our control and have significantly slowed our progress. But! We want to share what weโve been working on since we released the first PDF!
We know youโve been waiting longer than expected for the physical book, and we really appreciate your patience. There have unfortunately, been some elements that were out of our control and have significantly slowed our progress. But! We want to share what weโve been working on since we released the first PDF!
One of the biggest parts of this process was resizing the book to meet the printerโs specifications. We originally thought the pages needed to be a different size, and changing them caused the text, artwork, maps, and tables to shift. This meant we had to go back through every page and adjust the layout to make sure everything still looked right and was easy to read.
During this process, we also:
- Finished and added the Adventures at a Roll bonus section, which includes random encounter tables and extra quest ideas from across Aloria. (Make sure to check out the new and completed table of contents!)
- Adjusted the maps, GM notes, scene summaries, tables, and other repeated book elements to make everything easier to read and use.
- Finished the table of contents and made sure all page references, chapter navigation, and page numbers were correct.
- Reviewed the entire book for spelling and grammar mistakes, layout problems, and names that were used inconsistently.
- Set up the interior and cover files to meet the printerโs requirements.
- Ran our final file checks and made all the changes requested by the printer.
Alllll that work is now done! The print-ready files have passed their final checks and have been sent to the printer for physical books (WHOOOOO!) and the finalized high-quality digital PDF is ready to replace the work-in-progress edition previously shared with all of you. (it will be version 2.5 which is already uploaded and ready to play!)
Our next step is to continue moving through the remaining fulfillment work for Furhaven Adventures. Weโll share another update as soon as we have more progress and details to share!
We're really proud of how the book turned out. Thank you again for supporting Furhaven Adventures and for sticking with us throughout this long journey. Your patience and encouragement have meant so much to our small team, and we cannot wait for you to experience the completed book!
