Inspired by the Rider Waite deck, the Bad Luck Tarot is a 22 cards deck that invites us to accompany The Fool in their unfurtunate journey. There is simply nothing good going on in each card of this deck, each one is going through their worst moment, it's up to our Fool to face their reality or run away from it.
The Bad Luck Tarot was born as a response to the toxic positivism that has taken centre stage in spiritual discourse
The idea that the individual can face any obstacle by willpower alone, rests on a fragile foundation.
Deliberately denying one's material conditions in order to grant unlimited power to the mind is a cunning act.
Cruelly relegating pain and suffering to the most intimate spaces and timing their existence by not wanting them to have the opportunity to spread and infect others.
Happiness, success, love and luck may not knock on everyone's door. Inevitably we will have experiences in our lives that will only come to devastate everything in their path and from which we will hardly emerge unscathed.
Perceiving and experiencing life in its different spheres is necessary for self-knowledge, just as it is important not to be an obstacle for others to experience this process. Seeing our different realities head on and feeling them in fullness, will help us to achieve the freedom that the spirit has been deprived of.
The main advice would be to listen to your intuition. There are no rules set in stone when it comes to Tarot reading, so you can use this deck in whatever way you see fit, however, if you need a little help, we recommend that in the first instance you use this deck in conjunction with another tarot. The 22 major arcana present in The Bad Luck Tarot will allow you to give more depth to your reading by providing a different, sharper and even rebellious perspective.

Carefully designed, each card was deliberately made to have an aged, worn out look. We wanted to keep the soul of the Raider-Waite tarot while also adding our own twist to the Fool's journey, depicting every card in their own worst possible outcome.
All items purchased are shipped from Spain. Shipping fees will be charged separately, once the campaign is over and the survey is sent to all backers. Keep in mind this is a rough estimation of cost and could vary depending on adress.

This project has been made with great effort and dedication, without any intervention of artificial intelligence, since there is no invention capable of emulating what the human being creates from the soul (and we are not really fond of stealing other artist’s works nor destroying the enviroment).

Being born with an old soul and a tendency to apathy, the Bad Luck Tarot's idea came to Pilar as naturally as breathing, a way to take revenge on all her lives mishaps and setbacks, for she is sure to be the unluckiest person to have ever lived.
In a strange twist of destiny-perhaps the only time when Pilar got lucky- life gave her a little sister, one who happens to be an artist. Analaura, sharing her sibling's inclination towards bitterness, found in this project a somewhat sinister way of sublimating her own complaints about life.
Together, Pilar and Analaura want to share that, as gloomy as this tarot deck may seem, there is always a silver lining, that even in complete darkness, the richness in one's soul will rise above anything, but only if you are brave enough to face its most dreadful hour.
Please note that this campaign collects the production costs. Only after the campaign has succesfully ended we can start the manufacturing process. All backers will be updated on the production process through monthly updates made after the campaign is over. We expect to fulfill the project by the end of July 2026. Details of your order (like shipping address, prefered poster design, etc) will be specified on the survey sent to all backers once the campaign is over.

Price And Payment 1. The price of the Goods and any additional delivery or other charges is that set out on the Website at the day of the Order. 2. Price and charges include VAT at the rate aplicable at the time of the Order.
Delivery 1. We will send the Goods to the Delivery Location by the time or within the agreed period. 2. If you or your nominee fail, through no fault of ours, to take delivery of the Goods at the Delivery Location, we may charge the reasonable cost of storing and redelivering them. 3. The Goods will become your responsability from the completion of delivery or Customer collection. You must, if reasonably practicable, examine the Goods before acccepting them.
Return and Refund 1. Refunds are only issued if the Goods you receive are damaged or defective. 2. If your Goods arrive damaged or defective, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt with photographs of the damage. 3. Refunds will only be considered once the damage has been confirmed upon inspection. Refund requests for reasons other than damage or defect will not be accepted.
