MIR - MИP in Cyrillic writing - is a roleplaying game of investigation and horrific intrigue set in a Dark Fantasy universe.
You play an agent of the MIR, an organization charged with protecting reality from Echoes of the Ruin.
Corrupted by the Ruin, your character is no longer a mere mortal. With the help of the Arts, dangerous powers used to alter reality, you can confront the darkest manifestations of suffering without fear of being transformed.
But your struggle has been forgotten and your organization, the MIR, is now scorned by those it is sworn to protect. Despite your oath of neutrality, you'll be forced to play political games to achieve your goal. Each of your investigations is a hunt where the predator can easily become the prey, depending on who you befriend... and who you betray.
In MIR, the lines between Good and Evil are unclear: you will face emotional and moral dilemmas, and have to deal with the consequences of your choices.
You are broken, corrupted, filled with doubt.
You are the world's last hope.
You are the MIR.
MIR is set in a dark world filled with ancestral secrets and sinister mysteries to discover. As the agents perform their duty of hunting Echoes across the continent, they will also have to deal with the people who live there.
Each society within the Pact has a dark past, which haunts them to this day:
The Systerin Empire, a theocratic society who worship a god-emperor, and where every citizen's destiny is decided at the age of 7…
The Kingdom of Anicea, where courtly love and knightly honor are second only to the iron will of the dead…
The Isle of Delnataar, home to the elves, who once ruled over humanity as gods, until their worshipers grew tired of being devoured…
The Veneatori Republic, where every face wears a mask that can never be removed…
The Readarn Confederacy, where a once proud nation of sun-worshipping nomads now live in eternal darkness…
The dwarves of Azgranor, hive-minded shape shifters who dwell underground, coming to the surface only to hunt…
The Iluvetist Dominion, a warrior nation where violence is law, individuality a mortal sin, and all hear the whispers of their goddess in their minds…
Each nation bears a Stigmata for the sins of their past, a horrific curse which triggers when they break the most sacred laws of their people. Every individual who succumbs brings the Ruin a step closer…
The agents of the MIR are sworn to fight to protect the people of the Pact from the Ruin, but can they protect them from themselves?
MIR is a game of hope and despair that will have you exploring the depths of human suffering, and how it can affect the world around us. On top of their sacred duties as Echo Hunters, agents will have to delve into the dark secrets plaguing their homeland, to uncover the truth behind the Ruin…
Limited to 300 copies, this collector's edition has been designed as a sacred text of the Systerin Empire.
Featuring a black velvet cover with gold detailing, its red endpapers are screen-printed in gold with the outline of the Systerin Empire. Finally, the last page of the book serves as a case for the "In the Shadow of Glory" music album, which was composed to accompany the collection of scenarios.
Designed with Guillaume Galaup (LIMBES) to accompany your Hunts, the "In the Shadow of Glory" album offers over 1h20 of atmospheric music! Designed as a medieval screen, the 3 folders CD pack also includes a QR code to access the digital version of the music. Dark and haunting, this soundtrack illustrates the inherent darkness of the MIR universe, as well as its moments of light.
MIR uses an original D12 system designed to create interaction and dilemmas. The player rolls a number of dice depending on their chosen Path and Skills, attempting to obtain a number of successes - meaning any result between 7 and 12 - equal to or exceeding the required difficulty.
Narrative dilemma is at the heart of MIR, and our system represents this theme by ensuring players' choices always have consequences. Here are the main examples:
Lead Horrifying Investigations Filled With Moral Dilemmas
Use our unique Intrigue system to negotiate with and manipulate the factions and dignitaries encountered during your investigations. Gaining their support can grant you a considerable advantage. But be warned: their aid always comes at a price, and they will expect something from you in return...
Fights Which Leave Scars
The agents embodied by players have incredible abilities, but they are not invincible. Fights are realistic and death is a possibility in every encounter. To survive, you'll have to deal with wounds that can worsen, permanently scarring your character.
Risk Corruption To Bend Reality To Your Will
Using forbidden powers called Arts, you can twist Reality to your liking... But wielding such power is not without risk. If you overstep the limits of your Art, you'll pay the price…
Every Trauma Is Unique, So Is Every Hunt
Each scenario has its own mechanics in addition to multiple story branches where death is a constant threat - from Echos, forbidden cults, corrupt lords, or even traitors from within your own organization...
"MIR is a dark fantasy RPG that brilliantly fuses psychological intrigue, mind-bending mechanics, and rich world-building— it's basically like therapy, but with monsters and d12 dice pools. And a soundtrack."
The heaviness of the themes is gently managed, but without ever distorting it. The mechanics are not heavy, but they do justice to what you play.
If the idea of solving deep and dangerous trauma in a dark fantasy world intrigues you, I recommend you keep an eye on the official website to be informed about the new English version of this tabletop RPG!

The ENNIE Awards(the “ENNIES”) are an annual, fan-driven celebration of excellence in tabletop roleplaying games. Dedicated to recognizing outstanding achievement, the ENNIES honor the designers, writers, artists, and publishers whose creativity and passion shape the hobby. As a true people’s choice award, final winners are determined by online votes from the global gaming community.
This year, in collaboration with BackerKit, nominees from 2025 are coming together to further celebrate all the amazing games and products that were part of the ENNIES last year by launching ready-to-ship projects featuring their dominated game/product.
MORE ABOUT THE ENNIES
Founded in 2001, the ENNIES began as an online awards program hosted by EN World, the leading D&D/d20 system fan site, in partnership with Eric Noah’s Unofficial D&D 3rd Edition News. Originally owned by Russ Morrissey until 2019, the awards have grown alongside the hobby itself. What started as an internet-based recognition program has evolved into a prestigious annual awards ceremony held at Gen Con.
Over the years, the ENNIES have expanded beyond their d20 roots to celebrate excellence across the full spectrum of tabletop roleplaying games. With categories recognizing everything from core game components to beloved product types, fan-driven websites, and more, the ENNIES provide fans with a meaningful way to acknowledge exceptional work—and to say “thank you”—to the creators who make tabletop roleplaying games extraordinary.
Let’s celebrate these amazing creators one more time, and who knows, you may discover your new favorite game within.
