In the last update I put together a poll for you to vote on what possible stretch goal you'd like to see next and it's a bit of a 50/50 split between an A5 sticker sheet and more wooden mini pins. If you haven't voted I've attached the poll to this update. Here's a quick sneak peek of what a prospective sticker sheet would be like, it would be fancy holographic effect so all the insect wings shine nicely....

Hoorah! We've now unlocked the special double layered female Ruddy Darter dragonfly pin, it is now available as a separate pledge level and add-on option if you'd like to get one!
We've now got just two stretch goals left to try and reach and unlock the rather unique and colourful Dicarnosis erythracephala wasp and the Blue carpenter bee....

Wow! Thanks to lots of early support the initial funding target has already been reached so the first 7 mini pins are funded. Now we march on towards the many stretch goals....

I've been busy drawing away so have a few design sneak peeks to share with you all but first decisions need to be made..
So I've got a few options for merch, I'm staying fairly safe for the initial items and going with products I've made lots of before, so it'll be either wooden mini pins or hanging decorations to start with. The choice is yours by voting in the poll attached to this update! My reasoning for this is the turn around on this project is quite short and I want to focus my time on designing lots of your great insect suggestions rather than researching suppliers etc.
With that in mind here's a quick look at some of the designs I've been working on, some of you will recognise your suggestions but don't worry if you don't see yours yet, I've got lots of them on my to do list!
Whichever merch you pick in the poll below, I'll be adding spot gloss detail to the wings in the designs which have them, to give a special lifelike shiny finish. The product that comes in second in the vote will be added as a stretch goal, along with possibly a special holographic sticker sheet and maybe a notebook too?! Let me know what you think of these ideas in the chat!

I'm excited to be taking part in the second 'Super League of Science' group-collab event, launching in September. This time around I've expanded my insect interests beyond the colourful world of moths and am looking at bees amongst other things.....
