We’re pleased to inform you that our books have finally made it through Customs and gotten to our fulfillment company in the US. They are prepping them in their warehouse for shipping as we write this. So, there are a few things you need to know about!
Address verifications end today
If you need to update your address and have not let Quartermaster know, your window to do so is rapidly closing. Again, if you didn't move, then you don't need to do anything. But if you want to change your address for any reason, and you haven't told Quartermaster, you need to do so immediately.
If your address has not changed since you provided it in the PledgeManager, you can ignore this step, as they have your correct address on file.
If you don't see the email, double check your junk mail folder. If you still don't see your email, first verify your address needs to be updated by visiting the PledgeManager. If the correct address is in the system there, you do not need to update your address. If the address is incorrect, send a note to QML support.
We cannot change your address for you; you'll need to either reply to QML's email or let them know via their support form.
Shipping begins next week
After address verification closes, Quartermaster will start preparing your packages for shipping, then sending them out. You will get a tracking number via email directly from Quartermaster when your package is sent. (If you live in Canada, you'll get a tracking number when your package is readied for shipping, but it might take a bit to be sent because packages are all trucked to Canada and then posted.)
That process will be staggered over the next few weeks. Some backers may receive verifications or shipping notices before others. If you see someone say they got a notification, and you haven't gotten yours yet, hang loose. It'll be on its way soon.
Digital puzzle products
The 12 Days of Cryptics has also made it through testing and is ready for launch, starting Christmas Day and running through Epiphany Eve (January 5th). This is a great time to tell your friends to sign up for it so they can solve along with you. We’ll be excited to see everybody’s results over the holidays. If you want to solve with a group, you might enjoy going to our Discord at Lonesharkgames.com/discord and solving with other puzzlers there.
Meanwhile, we’ve prepared all your other digital products. You can get most of these PDFs and other digital files in BackerKit just by going to your pledge and clicking on your downloads.
However, The Hunting of the Shark and the Puzzlevania Map are not yet uploaded, as they will be made available shortly after the first set of physical books ships.
The first project for Chums, called “The Monster Hunt,” has been tested, edited, and laid out. Thanks to our amazingtest solvers for all their help with that. We’re still polishing up our delivery method for these fun puzzles. We’ll give you updates as we go along with that.

It’s been a tension-fraught month in the Ukraine conflict, in a very long series of tension-fraught months. If you support the people of Ukraine in their fight against tyranny, you’ve probably wondered what you can do to help. Here’s something: Our colleague William Jockusch has created a poker deck called Ukraine Has Cards! Each card shows a piece of Russian military hardware that has met an unfortunate end at the hands of Ukrainian troops. You can get the deck with one of three different card backs. You can use them to show that, like us, you support the Ukrainian people’s brave fight against Russian aggression.
