In the final 24 hours the campaign hit that stretch goal for 8 additional pages in the book. Thank you all so much!! I can't wait have these books in my hands. I'll be working hard over the next month and half to polish everything and prepare for printing. Here are some things to note on what happens next!

I will be reaching out to you SOON to discuss your commission. Look for my email in your inbox next week!

I've had a few people ask if I'll be offering Feather & Stone as an ebook. The answer is No. I know. We live in a digital age where everything is available on our tablets and phones. But Feather & Stone is a chapbook. That is a specific type of physical book. It's not meant to be seen through a screen. You are suppose to experience it with your senses, not be removed from it. Also, I'd rather it not be immediately scanned by AI. I say immediately because we know the chances are high it will be anyways. But this is something I can control for a short time and it will be better for your eyes and your heart.

I'll be back with another update soon! Thank you all again.

Time has flown by! My campaign is in the final week and I'm so close to that stretch goal of adding 8 additional pages to the book. How can you help? If you've already backed Feather & Stone, THANK YOU!! Please take a moment to share the campaign with friends.

If you haven't backed the project or maybe the timing isn't good, take a look at all the tiers. I have a Helping Hand tier for $5 that still gets you a small reward in your mailbox.

Show your support--Receive a Sticker and a Thank You note. No restrictions. Open worldwide.

I've added a brand new original drawing to the Add-on's section, it's a stone from my personal collection. Through Time is graphite on Stonehenge paper, matted to 5x5 inches. The drawing is available to current backers and new backers, but be quick!

Thanks for being a part of this journey with me. I hope this is the beginning of many wonderful projects to come!

I didn't realize till recently, many people are unaware that picking up a feather you find on a walk or in your yard is ILLEGAL. One of the key reasons why collecting feathers is prohibited in the United States is the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Enacted in 1918, this federal law aims to conserve and protect migratory bird species, their nests, eggs, and feathers. It covers over 800 bird species, including some of the most iconic ones like eagles, hawks, and owls. The act prohibits the possession, sale, purchase, or even transfer of feathers without proper permits.

However there are a few that don't fall under this law. Can you guess which one in the poll below? 🪶

This is my first time participating in Printopia and my first cross-collaboration with another creator. I love the idea of two projects teaming up to offer backers special rewards. I love it even more when those two projects share a similar energy. Here's a look inside Sara's Soul Care Almanac.

Sara McCormick is the writer and astrologer behind the Soul Care Planner and creates tools to help make your life more magical and to put self-care first. The Soul Care Almanac is a journey through the year, along with its seasons and lunar cycles. This hardcover book is full of seasonal wisdom to support your journey. Inside you'll find energetic insights, tarot and oracle card spreads, journal questions, lunar rituals, gemstone allies, herbal supports, and seasonal crafts to guide you.

When you back both my campaign and Sara's you'll receive an extra free reward from us both!

One of the things I love about Sara's project is that she, like me, designed everything for her book. No AI was used. Our books are original works of art, human made in every way. We love what we do and it shows.

Printopia ends on October 1st! Help bring original ideas to life. 🪶

Drawing has always felt like poetry to me, even more so since I made the decision work in pencil. My earliest art memories are watching my mother draw with an everyday pencil. It felt like magic--a magic I wanted to learn. I went on to devote my life to making art and creating visions. You will never find AI in my creative process! I hope you enjoy this glimpse into my drawing process.

Achievements

We are currently $435 away from the stretch goal that will add 8 more pages to the book! So excited!!! I'm confidant the campaign will reach that goal. In my next update I'll be sharing more about my love of words and how interwoven they are with my art.
