We are into the last week of the campaign and getting very close to funded! 🙌
Today, I'd like to share a Procreate timelapse of my art for the cross-collaboration bookmark available for backers who support both this campaign (on a physical reward tier), and A Year of Broken River Zines.
We paired up to create tarot themed bookmarks for cross-collab backers, and for my illustration concept I decided to go with the Strength card. I puzzled for a while on what I wanted to draw, but I felt my characters Momoko and Flere would work well, and it has been some time since I've drawn them.
Momoko is my main character from an in-progress sci-fi novel of mine, and Flere is an inter-dimensional beast that bonds with her. Momoko represents compassion and light, and Flere is a dark beast inwho holds the power of fire. When thinking about characters I could draw to represent the themes of not only the zine, but the Strength tarot card and Printopia sci-fi banner, these two really are perfect.
I am so excited for this foil bookmark to get made. 🥰
