I watched a review a few days ago for the MCDM play test. There was some really good discourse from the guys running the stream about some things that they didn’t fell ran as smoothly as they had hoped (initiative being a competitive roll rather than a high/low roll on one die, feeling that some of the rules are nebulous, etc). What blew my mind were the two most common complaints in the chat: the fact that the system doesn’t have a name yet, and that the GM is called a director. Two things that imo have no bearing on whether a system is good or not. I ended up taking the whole thing with a grain of salt telling myself that ‘if that’s all they have to complain about, then this system is going to knock everyone’s socks off.’
