Bedtime Bestiary - Plush beasts from myths and legends!

Hello critters!! I've been holding off on a big backerkit announcement for a good while now, but I think it's finally time.

Our next plush project, Bedtime Bestiary, will be going live at the end of the month! Originally the plan was to launch on the 10th, but due to prototyping taking longer than expected I think it's wise to wait a bit longer as we wait for more samples to arrive and others to be started.

On the bright side, we do already have several finished friends and I'd love to share them now! First up is the gryphon that started it all, a floppy amalgam of red panda, lemur and borb. This critter is 20" not including their tail, understuffed and lightly weighted with beans in their paws and belly.

Next we have the purple potato that threw a wrench in our timeline with their incomprehensibly round shape. Seriously this manticore went through so many revisions to achieve their perfectly squat and robust physique I thought we might never reach something that resembled the concept art-- but we did! And I love him.

The manticore is also roughly 20" from snoot to butt, with hefty paws that double as a bludgeoning weapon in a pinch. 

Around the time we were putting the final touches on the manticore, I decided I needed to complicate things further by introducing mini versions of everyone. Hear me out though-- they're freakin' adorable. 

Minis are the 10" versions of their 20" counterparts, designed with portability and space efficiency in mind! Every bedtime beast will have a mini version to make them all as accessible as possible. 

 

This next creature is still a BIG work in progress, but one I am extremely excited about. Say hello to the tatzelwurm!! They're a bit longer than the others to compensate for their noodliness, and just as adorable. I can't wait to hold this one in my grubby mitts and hope we have the finished sample in hand before August!

And then next up will be the werewolf and kelpie! I'm hoping these will be a bit more straight forward (knock on wood) and come together quickly.
