Hi! Surveys have been sent out!

So, a note about that real quick: since the total # of pins pledged can change through post-campaign surveys, I won't be able to manually attach freebie SKUs to some people who will qualify for them until AFTER orders are locked. But no worries, small numbers of pins and stickers are light enough that it won't affect shipping costs! They are already listings and just waiting to be added manually one by one once orders are locked. As for people who qualified for cross-collab or early-bird freebies, those are already attached to your pledge, Backerkit did that themselves.

As noted before, people are able to choose in the survey which machine they want their spins to be from!

I reread the last April update over 10x to make sure it was good, and then of course only after publishing did I realize one of the paragraphs made zero sense: the one about colorway availability.

So to explain that properly this time... (sorry!)

In the survey, you'll notice a la carte add-ons still of the pin designs. This is because you were original backers while the campaign was live! The ones I mentioned as having been most-ordered will have really limited stock as individuals. Not all of the designs are still available individually as add-ons though, because their numbers were claimed already in high quantity.

I never should have said that the preorder store will have individuals available. My brain fog has been out the wazoo even more than usual since my surgery in March, I'm sorry. The preorder store will only have gacha spins available for the pins, or the full set collections. No individual single pin options, this is the same for the gacha pills too. And that's final this time! As mentioned before (correctly), they will only be available again as individuals at conventions that don't allow gacha machines (without exception despite it not being true gambling...), like anything in Canada if I were to do those and some in the states that ban them, and then again when only seconds are left.

To be even clearer, this is the final roster of what will be available in the preorder store when it's up (I will open it in roughly a week!):

• At some point I will also announce adding jello oil shaker charms with the "whipped cream" and decals because I FINALLY got a reliable (I hope!!) supplier for them and have ordered some as previewed to backers only before!!

Everything but the last one is also in the surveys. Because you guys are backers and shouldn't have to pay shipping twice!

ALSO from left to right, since I got better photos here are the plating colors for cat skull, both demon skulls as the same glossy black, mischievous ("grape"), and tsundere ("peach"). I decided peach would likely look bad as dyed metal because of the color... I hope that's okay. I noted the change in item description for each.

I also changed slime to anodized metal because I felt that would make him look more like slime... idk why I didn't have that realization before. This will be his new metal color.

I also recently took a close-up video of the jolly rancher bat I had made YEARS ago with a different manu to show an example of colored translucent enamel on glossy metal plating (since the OG jellinom and flanom examples are dyed metal). This is what made me realize slime shouldn't be dyed metal! Since BK doesn't support video embeds, here's a still of it.

Ultimately, every single one of these guys will look drastically different than the mockups (the 3D ones are closest, though!) due to the nature of their enamel and printing processes, so I hope you will love them. 🥺 

Updates on when things will lock or be charged will come with time, pins have been paid for but production hasn't even started quite yet. Preorder store will be up soon, I have a lot of art deadlines I have to put my attention to soon. So in about a week as mentioned. It's mostly for people who missed the campaign so it shouldn't have much bearing on you.

Hi everyone!

The end of April/beginning of May was a very trying time for us, so I struggled really hard with my deadlines. The pins have been paid for though as of earlier this week, and production is on its way!

16 randomized surveys have already been sent out! The rest of the surveys will almost-certainly be sent out on Tuesday (May 14th), I need to first be able to look through all the smoke test responses and make sure everything was recorded properly. Thanks to the way I formatted the add-ons, for the first time it wasn't necessary for me to have surveys majority-filled before starting production, which feels great!! So at least there's less pressure there.

Bandage designs have been finalized and updated. Both sets are available in the surveys, and preorder store when I set that live! I vectorized(?) them from scratch since they were just sketches before (except for the barbed wire, which was already vectored by me a while ago).

I put a new placeholder mockup in for the freebie jello pins (which are also available as individual choice for $14/e). These were the metal colors chosen:

Since pink was voted out, these are the 3 left standing and were paid for with the rest!

Hi everyone!! I'm sorry for the delay, I've been so swamped and as a result my post-surgical hip pain is back with a vengeance.

However...We did it! 🥹 we unlocked all the pins even after dropped/errored pledges! And the good news is that for BK, errored pledges can still fix their card at any time until surveys close. We currently have 4 errored cards, just under $300 in pledges. This is the last update I'm sending to all of my Launch members too, I just wanted to make sure y'all got to see the bandage sketches because I lagged so hard on that.

I want to note real quick - I didn't finish the bandage art soon enough to feel comfortable adding it as a tier/add-on. The packs of 25 will be available to add to your pledge when you pay for shipping via the survey, however. Thank you for your patience with those!! Each pack of 25 will be $15 and come in a glassine bag, and the labeling will likely consist of a paper sticker on the front of all of the included designs. This is very similar to the way all the washi tape rolls will also be packaged, no plastic aside from what's absolutely necessary to reduce waste.  They're medical-grade, but... I legally can't tell you to use them for any medical reasons. Their add-on listing will have the full details on materials once I get all of that set up over the next few days.

I don't plan on closing surveys until pins have been shipped out to all backers. At that point I'll start selling them in-person and will not hold stock for anyone, though you have until then to fill it out, pay the remaining balance, and then receive your items in a slightly-later shipment wave. My estimate is still for that to be early-mid Summer (so that means July at the latest!).

I forgot to add the freebie mini pins to the campaign before it ended... that might've helped get more backers. Oops. I am just so exhausted lol I'm sorry. But I promise they WERE unlocked!

The final colorways won't be paid for until funding is deposited next week, so I changed the poll to end this weekend (April 28th). Please keep in mind these colors are potentially very off due to screen differences (all 3 screens I looked at for them, the purple especially was super different) - but be assured that I will be making them very vibrant colors like real jello!


Here are the drafts for the bandages.  They will go into production sooner than the pins because I already had an in-progress project for them. I plan to have these fully vectored and in production within the next 2 weeks.

For  preorder store post-campaign, I will only be offering the jellies that were less-loved while it was live/in survey add-ons. This is because I find it fairest when machines have as-close-to-even-as-possible odds for all variants. It makes me very happy when I hear "I got the one I wanted!!" so I want the odds of that to be high! So if you'd like a specific popular one with some extra variants available in the survey, make sure to snag it there! The most-pledged-for ones were both demon skull jellies, cat skull, light purple, and orange, so the ones in the preorder store will be all of the other pins (assuming the extra add-ons in surveys don't skyrocket any others to the same popularity). There will also be gacha spins available in the preorder store! Just no more a la carte outside of backer surveys.

I will also have the washi tape available (since I will still be getting it made despite no pledges currently), all of the bandage designs (not just these unlocked ones, I have 5 more I'm finishing up as well!), and the previously-freebie stickers will be available at a cost. For up to 20 >3 pin preorder store backers they will still get a freebie jello. ♡ I would add more of my normal stock too but honestly it is very hard for me with my rampant brain fog to keep track of stock across 3 avenues (online shop, conventions, and BK) so I don't think I should.

I'll update again when surveys have been sent (likely May 3rd) after the freebie pin poll closes! Since I formatted the pledge and add-on levels the way I did, I don't need to receive all surveys prior to paying the manufacturer, which takes a HUGE load off. I will definitely do this in the future for anything with multiple colorways too even though it's more time-consuming.

I've added 2 pledge tiers (and add-on versions) of discounted pin sets - these are for "Machine 1" or "Machine 2," as they will be sorted like this when they're in stock!

I don't have the bandage designs finished yet, both in case we don't make it and because I have my first convention of the year this weekend and am very stressed out and busy prepping for that. I'm sorry!

However, I can say that I'm using a vectored version of the freebie pin design I made for the bandages! (Plus some bats) This is due to the poll results favoring not using the jellinoms themselves on the bandages (which is fine with me because vectoring that would be a pain haha)

For other bandages that I'm working on, I have some barbed wire (finished), pills (finished), snakes (wip), syringes (not yet started), and bats (not yet started).

I'm really glad we've made it so far and I'm very grateful to all who have helped, whether it be by directly financially supporting, or by sharing. We have to move somewhat unexpectedly this year (our original intention was to renew the lease which is no longer an option, backers from my WIP visual novel game will know some of what I am talking about...), and our stress levels are honestly immeasurable. I was very worried about potentially being unable to get any new merchandise made for cons this year due to needing to save up for that, so I'm SO grateful that I will at the very least have everything you've helped fund 💗

I have so much gratitude for us having gotten this far, especially with that rocky middle plateau. Thank you so much.

Holographic demon skull is now her own pledge tier as well as the add-on! 

As extra thanks, I would like to introduce a couple new freebies!

First is this 2.5" glow in the dark sticker! This will be going to everyone who has more than 3 pins backed. It's already "unlocked," I'll place the order right away once funds are deposited!

Next are these 32mm pins! They are going to be bigger than the jellinoms, and any leftovers will be sold at $14 with my normal pin board. I don't make pins anymore that aren't gacha designs, so these are the first non-gacha pins I've designed in years.

Each of these will have anodized metal plating (like Grape and a few others) rather than dyed metal, so they will look very sleek and glossy! The faintly-drawn stars and "bubbles" will be sandblasted under the translucent enamel, like how the faces were made for the original jellinom (and flanom). They'll also have epoxy and white printing on top of it.

The whipped cream will be rainbow glitter on WHITE enamel on each one. It looks kinda pink on the purple and blue, because I changed it to look different from the white printing for the sake of the color key...and forgot to change it back before saving 🥴 sorry! I'm only just noticing now.

Hello! I have a special update today!

An anonymous backer pushed us past the washi tape goals! We are currently $200 from fully unlocking the 5th stretch goal (holographic glitter Demon Skull + extras of all the other jellies!), and then another $280 until the bandages are unlocked (poll winners for SG 6)! That would put us at $2,915 to have everything unlocked. To make sure it's more feasible, I reduced it to 4 designs and not 5. I don't have those finished yet because this came as a surprise, but here is a mockup of demon skull with holo glitter!

The stretch goal 2 pins are now available as add-ons and their own pledge levels. There is now also an "all 16 Jellinoms" pledge level! The washi and the holo glitter Demon Skull are now available as add-ons only.

I also want to share my friends who are a part of Pintopia too - CatHead and Kaiju!

They are regularly adding more goals to their campaigns and have met most already. I love the dark forest theme they both have going on! Check them out if you have a chance 💗

Hi everyone;

Currently, we've lost about $350 since our peak, and have gone up and down backers. To a degree this is normal in crowdfunding campaigns, and pintopia has a lot of variety to choose from so I'm trying to take it in stride. Please share the campaign with anyone you think may be interested! I'm unfortunately still completely shadowbanned on IG, which I previously wasn't entirely sure was a thing but has most-definitely happened...it was previously my largest social media platform. My hands are mostly tied, I promise I'm trying to get the word out.

Assuming backerkit campaigns can still have an uptick in the last few days, I am hoping we can still get the rest of the stretch goal pins funded, and hopefully the washi too!

Since the last poll had it tied on whether bandages or jello shakers should be SG6, I chose bandages to move forward with because of my guaranteed participation in getting some others made this summer anyway. I will try designing them in the next few days when I get my other vectored designs ready, based on the preliminary results of this poll.
 

So, the question is - what should they look like, then? The jellies are all rastered, so I'd have to vectorize them if I want to put them on the bandages. 🤔 Or maybe for a more widespread appeal, I could do more generic themes of desserts and spooky motifs?

Hi everyone! Sorry for updating again so soon! 

This is my first time posting a poll on here (I usually use strawpoll) so hopefully it's not wonky. This is about stretch goal 6! 

Unfortunately, at the time I drafted this several days ago (when it wouldn't post due to an issue with the attached images, which I only just found out was the problem), we were very close to SG 2 but are now back down to only just past SG 1. Plateaus are a given with crowdfunding, but hopefully we can still get fully funded through all stretch goals by the end of the campaign. 

Hi everyone, we're about $350 from stretch goal 2! We lost about $200 in pledges and backslid quite a bit, but I think we can still get there.

Unfortunately, I forgot to save these in RGB before I lost the file, but here are the 2 washi tape designs:

The watermark of my brand name will of course not be included in the final result.

They were exported as CMYK, so in importing them again as RGB they wind up looking crazy and super blown out. Please refer to the actual colors of the pins in all of the campaign info, as that is what they'll resemble in print.

The washi is going to be a glitter texture, with the foil being holographic pink for the "pop" colorway, and a shiny black for the "spooks" colorway. For both, the speech bubbles is where the foil is focused, but the spooks will also have the X pattern as black foil too.

Hi everyone! Just a quick update that I am surprised to say Demon Skull has been fully claimed so far for the individual pledge tiers, but will still be claimable via the add-ons and available in spins. Each pin colorway will be hidden as add-ons once they reach a combined 25 claimed because there's no way to know what flaw rate to anticipate or how many people will do spins, and they also deserve odds that are as even as possible across all colors.

Stretch goal 5 increases the # ordered of all pins very significantly, at which point I'd be able to make her available again!

We're less than $150 from the first stretch goal! When they're met, Slime, Grape, Blue, and Cat Skull (inspired by the cross-collab campaign as well) will all have their own individual pledge tiers and add-ons, too!
