i'm super-glad The Strange is coming back into the fold. rock on, Bruce! my group only uses the slim chapter on translation rules and not the rest of the setting (definitely not the ideas about "shadows" and a multiverse of fictional worlds -- my players would let the worlds burn most of the time and not get invested in outcomes) but it's wonderful this title is being pulled back into the cypher mainstream. it definitely felt very weird for it to be shoved onto the back burner for years.
most of the time when people ask me what RPG i play i tell them "a sci-fi game called The Strange that focuses on genre-hopping" as that seems to generate more immediate interest rather than telling them i play "Cypher," which leaves outsiders shrugging and scratching their heads.
