It’s only day two, but you’ve unlocked yet another stretch goal! We’re expanding the content of the Explorer’s Pack; it now gets additional items such as another patch, a couple more pencils with new pithy Ninth World messages, more stickers for your passport, more props, and another travel notebook.

(By the way, if you’re new to Numenera, maybe you’re not familiar with the greeting “iadace.” Pronounced yay-da-see, it’s a shibboleth that tells the person you’re greeting, “I am one who understands, and I recognize that you are also one who understands.” It’s used by Aeon Priests, and sometimes by travelers when they come upon a village, encounter a stranger on the road, or otherwise want to identify themselves as trustworthy, enlightened individuals to persons they suspect are of like mind.)

In addition to the Explorer’s Pack upgrade, you also voted for this sticker as your free bonus reward. Every backer, at every pledge level, gets these stickers!

Speaking of Ninth World terminology, Calaval’s eyes! is an exclamation of surprise—or a curse uttered in astonishment or anger—commonly used across much of the Steadfast and the Beyond. Calaval, of course, was the founder of the Aeon Priests, and the first Amber Pope—and the one who first unlocked the Amber Archive.

Our Calaval’s Eyes! Deck is a great game aid that prompts inspiration and helps conjure Numenera’s unique vibe. Draw a card and discover something new to add to the story, potently influencing the direction of events in large and small ways. Use it to generate ideas during game prep and at the table. (And like the Amber Archive and Calaval himself, there may be more to it than you at first imagine—other secrets may be waiting for future stretch goals to draw them forth!) You may well find this deck to be one of your favorite elements of your Numenera game!

It already has a unique presentation, with large, square cards. So let’s make it even more beautiful. With this stretch goal, we’ll upgrade the Calaval’s Eyes! Deck with premium features such as foil stamping on the card backs, upgraded paper and finish, and a deluxe box. We think the Calaval’s Eyes! Deck will be a central feature on the game table of any GM who loves a bit of inspiration on the fly, and we want to do it justice. We’ll unlock this upgrade to the Calaval’s Eyes Deck when we reach 2350 backers.

This campaign has been amazing so far. We can keep up the pace, and unlock this and many more stretch goals—but only with your help.
