In our last update, we mentioned that our team rusted over 18 pounds of nails for the Witch Jars. Besides the nails, these jars include other thematic items such as string, replica herbs, and a real (ethically-sourced) antler, all tied together and stamped with blood-red wax.
The process of creating these deluxe and—if we do say so ourselves—deeply cool game props was a laborious one. Our team did everything in-house, from rusting the nails to mixing and pouring the resin, assembling the jars, melting and pouring the wax, and finally placing a strong enchantment on each and every jar (just kidding! Or are we?).
And now that the jars are completed, we're making and attaching the required shipping- and safety-compliant labels. Each jar must be labeled as an Adult Collectible, and not mistakeable as a children’s toy. Plus, the electronic lighted base gets its own safety warnings. Oh! And we have to specify that the mason jar itself definitely shouldn’t be repurposed for food (not to mention the fact that they contain resin and are not filled with water or, er, human-processed-yellow-water).
The jar labels and safety insert are being printed right now. Once we have them in our warehouse, we’ll get straight to putting them on jars and sending them out the door. We'll be sure to let you know through a mini-update when you can fulfill this reward.
International Fulfillment of the Witch Jars
Witch Jars will ship worldwide from the United States. Due to the limited supply, and the fragile nature of the jars, we are shipping them from our US warehouse directly to international backers. Our shipping partners in the UK and Australia will not be stocking nor shipping this reward. To keep shipping costs as economical as possible, international backers will be charged a flat rate (based on country) on orders that include the Witch Jar, and we will use shipping methods that allow us to pre-pay customs and duty fees, such as FedEx International Priority Connect.

As the evenings are long and balmy, the talented and creative coven has been hard at work preparing multiple rituals for creating Witch Jars.
For the want of a nail….
Over the weekend the team rusted 18 pounds of nails for the Witch Jars! That’s a LOT of nails! There have been several progressive prototypes to create the perfect prop, make sure the correct spells are woven in, and test various steps and components. A final prototype with all production components will be made before they start creating batches for your rewards. Each jar will be unique, as each is being hand crafted individually.

Look at these Witch Jar prototypes!
The replica Witch Jar is one of our favorite collector’s items funded through this campaign—the mockups are a true sight to behold, family. It's an astonishing prop; a faithful replication of the sort of component used in wards and spells. When not used in your games, its lighted shelf gives it a true air of magic and mystery.
Our team has been working hard to bring this replica to life. We’ve been experimenting with rusting nails, different mason jars (for the perfect, aged look), and resin color and consistency. It’s felt somewhere between a third-grade science project and cauldron-brewing magic!

These are just production prototypes—we’re still finalizing the components to deliver the perfect showpiece for your shelf and game table. We hope you’re just as excited about it as we are.

Ingredients:
1 ½ cups of self rising corn meal
1 cup of self rising flour
1 tsp of sugar
1 large egg
1-2 cups of buttermilk
Directions:
Mix ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
In an iron skillet, heat bacon grease, oil, or butter to cover the bottom.
Preheat your oven to 400℉.
Pour in mixture and bake for about 40 minutes.
Turn the skillet upside down onto the plate.
