Let’s talk online play support! First up: the Cypher Character Builder!
At the free Explorer tier, the Cypher Character Builder gives you everything you need to build characters from the Cypher Character Rulebook. Now you can add character-building content from other titles with the purchase of Character Builder Packs. This kicks off today with the addition of the Old Gods of Appalachia Corebook Character Builder Pack.
To build OGoA characters in the Cypher Character Builder, simply:
Log into the Cypher Character Builder using the same credentials you use on the MCG Shop
Click the Build a Character button.
This takes you to the first step of character creation: choosing a genre. You’ll see Old Gods of Appalachia as an option there.
Running a game? A GM who subscribes to the Character Builder at the Adept tier can share their Character Builder Packs with players in their group. So an Adept-tier GM who purchases the Old Gods of Appalachia Corebook Character Builder Pack can set up a campaign and invite players—and they’ll all be able to build OGoA characters without needing to make a purchase.
The Old Gods of Appalachia Corebook Character Builder Pack is on sale at a special price to celebrate the launch of these new features. This is just the first offering—additional packs will be released in the future.
With this new content, you’ll be able to build, tweak, and advance your Old Gods of Appalachia Roleplaying Game character in the Cypher Character Builder. Export it to a PDF that you can use at the game table, or run your character right from the Character Builder. Update it as you make changes or your character advances. (You’ll have all the character options available in the RPG corebook.)
Take your character straight from the Cypher Character Builder to Roll20!
Set up a campaign on the Cypher Character Builder, invite your players, have them create characters, then export them straight to Roll20. The process has never been easier!

You have your campaign live on the Cypher Character Builder. Your players have their characters in Roll20, or they’re playing them straight from the Character Builder. Everything is ready to go… but what about your decks?
The Old Gods of Appalachia Resource Deck and XP Deck are live on the Datasphere Deck Tool!
When you purchase one of our digital decks, you receive it not only in PDF format, but also via the Datasphere Deck Tool. This unique product format makes our digital decks as useful for online play as the print decks are at the physical game table.
Draw random cards or view the entire deck and pick one.
Copy the card image and “hand” it to your player via your VTT, in a Discord chat, or however you communicate when you play online.
Or click to copy the text and send them just that. Peruse a deck easily, sort cards, or organize them as you see fit.
The Datasphere Deck Tool gives your deck the same time-saving and inspirational utility in the digital space as a print deck delivers at the physical game table—and it’s free, in addition to the PDF file. (In fact, you will probably find the Datasphere Deck Tool to be much handier than the PDF.)
Log in with the same username and password as you use here on the MCG Shop. You must log in via the MCG Shop to access your purchased decks.
Under Decks in the upper-left, click Add Deck.
You’ll see a list of all your purchased decks, and, below that, other available decks. Click on the deck you wish to use.
If you don’t see a deck you own, under your account icon (in the upper-right), select Refresh My Decks.
You can also the free basic decks—their card selection is limited, but they’re fully functional.
Click the deck to draw the top card. Or click the deck name in the Decks menu to see all of your cards—and pick the cards you want.
Once a card is out on the canvas, double-click it for a closer look. From there you can copy an image of the card, or the card text, to send to a player.
If you also want the deck in PDF, simply download it from your account on the MCG Shop.
