As we approach October, we wanted to give you an update on where things currently stand.
There has been a lot of positive progress, with just a few areas where we are waiting on further information, calls or meetings before we can confirm the next steps.
Most importantly, the most challenging elements of the project aka the box and cards are nearly complete. We have received confirmation that the boxes are produced and the cards are in progress.
We have received the yellow and black dice.
There was a small delay with the booklet while we updated the format for printing, but this issue is almost sorted and we aim to be at print stage soon.
We also experienced a slight delay with the map. As this is one of the smaller components of the box and relatively straightforward to print it has been lower on the priority list. We are working through this now and expect to have it resolved shortly.
The certificates have been printed and will be shipped for signing shortly.
The hero models are currently being produced and are due to ship next week.
The 3D printed files are tested and our schedule for 3D printing is looking safe and secure for the estimated shipping date.
Overall, things are moving in the right direction.
Our main challenge now is coordinating all of the different moving parts and making sure every component arrives at the right place at the right time for final assembly. We are also working within the particularly busy production period surrounding the Essen show, where our project is one of many competing for production capacity. We are conscious that we are a small project amongst larger projects so we are pushing for information regarding our final production and assembly windows.
To summarise, all components are now either in production or are progressing through the final stages of the production process. Following our next conversation with the production team, we expect to have a much clearer picture of the shipping schedule.
We remain positive about where things stand. However, we also want to be transparent that, with several components needing to come together within a relatively short window, there is a possibility of a small delay.
We should be able to provide a clearer update on timings very soon, but fundamentally we are getting close and the last few hurdles remain. Pledge Manager
Our goal is to stay as close to our estimated shipping date as possible. To help us achieve this, we’ll be opening the Pledge Manager for a short window so we can finalize and lock in all orders for shipping.
We’ve just received approval for the Pledge Manager and will be launching the smoke test shortly. Around 5% of backers should receive their surveys soon!

Whether you've been a fan of Fighting Fantasy for decades or have only recently discovered the iconic artwork that runs throughout these amazing books, I'm grateful you've chosen to be part of this project.
