Proof Copies
We were expecting to have received the proof copies of both the Standard Edition SIC as well as the Collector's Edition SIC books by today, but there has been a delay and they are not coming until tomorrow. We were hoping to include some photos in this quick update, but we will be sure to include them in our next one!
PvP Tournament
We unfortunately need to delay the dates for the PvP tournament, as we did not get enough team applications to run a fun tournament. So there will be no tournament matches tomorrow. The current teams that have applied are still valid though, so they won't need to apply again! We are hoping to delay this by roughly a month and we will send out the updated schedule in our next update.
Hello everyone! It’s Zarek again, and I just wanted to share another update with you all. We are waiting on the proof copies of both the Standard Edition and Collector’s Edition Super’s Information Codex books. We expect to receive them soon, and once we do I will be sharing images and reviewing to approve the full production run!
As a note, the final PDF has been sent out through DTRPG if you claimed it, but we are sending out the final PDF here through Backerkit tonight just to make sure everyone has a chance to get it! There were just some minor tweaks and corrections to errors, nothing has actually changed in the rules.
We still expect to have fulfillment complete by the holidays so that everyone can enjoy their books during their time off from work and/or school!
We did end up making a slight change to the Collector’s Edition book. Previously we planned to have the spine be the same as the Standard Edition, but we changed that to match the orange background with the halftone effect. We also showed the Collector’s Edition Mock-Up with a red ribbon for bookmarking pages, and we decided to match the ribbon with the light-blue SIC logo color for a more cohesive look.
Win Free Books & PDFs, The PvP Tournament is Approaching!
The Indominant Player Versus Player Tournament is coming up! All participants win something, but the top two teams get free books/PDFs! The due date for team applications is a week from today!
To re-state the information about the tournament, please see below:
Teams consist of two players, each playing one character at Level 5. We will have a maximum of 12 teams, and we will do a single elimination-style bracket! To apply for participation you need to send your completed character sheets, a team name, and availability to [email protected] with “PVP Tournament Application” in the subject line. The applications are open from now until October 2nd, 2026!
We will review character sheets for accuracy and to confirm that they meet these requirements:
Supers must be Level 5
You can select 1 D-Class Costume Upgrade (either 1 Material or 1 Modification)
Each Super has 850 Credits to spend on Consumables (no pooling credits). Consumables are refreshed for each match.
So what are the rewards for winning, and for 2nd place?
Winning team will receive 1 free Physical SIC copy per player.
2nd place team receives 1 free SIC PDF per player.
All other participants receive a free Miniature STL.
When is this tournament?
Tournament games will be played on October 10th and October 11th, between 9 AM Pacific Time and 3 PM Pacific Time on both days. Exact schedule will be coordinated once the teams have been decided.
Hello everyone! It’s Zarek here, the Lead Designer, and we have a huge update today! All of our Backers should be receiving their digital rewards as you read this. We decided to use DriveThruRPG for fulfillment of all digital rewards, since there were a lot of issues finding digital downloads here on Backerkit with the release of our Manuscript. If anyone experiences any issues, please reach out to us!

Our plan is to wait a week or two before placing the order for the physical books, so that we can make sure to get more eyes on the PDF and catch any possible errors before print. So please join our discord or send us an email with anything that you think looks like an error or mistake! With this plan, we still expect to begin fulfillment by mid-October.
Book Pricing Increase (Post-Crowdfunding)
We have decided to increase our pricing on our Core Rulebooks (including the SIC), because we made the decision to change our set of Core Rulebooks from 3 Books: the Super’s Information Codex (SIC), Comic Editor’s Compendium (CEC), and Threat Index (TI) to only 2 Books: the SIC, and CEC. As of today, the price for any future purchases of the physical SIC, and our future crowdfunding campaign for the CEC, have been increased to $59.95 from $49.95. This means that the total cost for the full set of Core Rulebooks for Indominant will now be $119.90 (without discounts and bundle pricing), instead of the previously planned $149.85. Our Core Rulebook PDFs will be unchanged at the price of $25.
As a quick confirmation, nobody that has pledged to this crowdfunding campaign or pre-ordered the SIC PDF will be charged any additional fees or money. This only affects purchases on or after today on our website or for pledges on future crowdfunding campaigns.
This also means that we are changing our plans for what content is within the CEC. Previously we had planned to only have guides for running the game, setting up Superhero stories and campaigns, and Threat Creation guidelines. Now we have decided to also include a list of around 100-130 Threats in the CEC, making it a complete package for Comic Editors to run the game, without needing 2 books. The Threat Index is still planned to be developed at a later date, but we plan to release it as an expansion-style book that is unnecessary to purchase in order to play the game.
Website Updates
We have also closed the Backerkit pre-order store and added a physical pre-order of the SIC book to our website’s store, as well as made the SIC PDF able to be directly purchased. The physical pre-orders will not ship until all Backers’ orders have been fulfilled.
Hello everyone, we just wanted to share a quick status update on where things are at with the PDF of the Super’s Information Codex!
Our Layout Artist is about complete with most of the layout, only needing to finish the Table of Contents and Appendix D: The Index. We are reviewing what’s been completed so far as she works to finish those and make adjustments where necessary or possible. We are expecting this to be complete on schedule, and sent to Backers in the coming weeks!
Here are some example spreads that we think show off the excellent quality she is producing! Keep in mind, there may be minor changes made before the final PDF is sent out.
Community Event - Player Versus Player Tournament!
As we’ve previously discussed when we were still in our playtesting, we’ve been wanting to run a tournament for Indominant. Our current plan is to set up a bracket of as many teams as we can fill spots. Each team would be a duo of two players, each playing as a single Super.
We would provide restrictions, requirements, and any Items or Credits allowed to be used/spent once we iron out the details.
In addition, the winning team would win some free rewards, which we will announce once the tournament details are locked in!
Poll for Upcoming Project
We’ve also attached a Poll to this update. We are starting to plan our next crowdfunding campaign that will be to fund the creation of the Comic Editor’s Compendium, or GM guidebook, and we want to figure out which add-ons would be the most sought-after options from our Backers!
Hello everyone! We have been noticing that there seem to be a lot of problems with getting your digital rewards through Backerkit. Whether it is confusion due to some placement of the digital downloads, or some folks just not getting their digital downloads, we understand the experience has not been the greatest.
With that in mind, we are going to send out the Manuscript PDF through DriveThruRPG, as well as the final PDFs once those are complete at the end of the month!
This update was quick and simple, we apologize for any issues anyone has had and we hope this helps correct those and get you your digital rewards more easily!
