On the continent of Everend in the world of Gaia, magic suffuses everything, keeping all in harmony. The seven nations of Everend maintain peace after centuries of struggle - a peace now rapidly deteriorating. In an explosive demonstration of power, one nation shattered reality by calling forth daemons from the Void. Now, all nations rush to gain daemonic magic for themselves. The Void spills through gates and collides with Gaia's magic, creating Void-tainted landscapes that transform the wildlife inside into ravenous beasts that rove across Everend. Meanwhile, the common folk go about their daily lives fearing the brutality of war and the deamons' incomprehensible power.
The balance has been upened. Everend needs heroes to stop the march of destruction and to help people understand their place in the new world.

BACKER PDF VERSION
This is the first version of At the Gates to be released. The design and development teams have done their best to proofread and correct any errors and typos - but some always sneak through. If you catch any typos, incorrect math, visual glitches, and the like, we want to hear about them and correct them before we send the book off to print.
With that in mind, I'd like to introduce the At The GatesFeedback Form!

They are aware of any Page XX notations - those are left in to replace for the final version once any changes you've suggested are made, so they can reference the correct page if any shifts in layout result.
Onyx Path will keep errata collection open for the next week. Please submit your feedback as soon as possible so the team can get on to finalizing this file - and working on our print version as well!
They won't be collecting errata from other spots, just this specific form.
After any needed corrections are made (based on your feedback!), they will prepare an updated final PDF version of the book and you will receive a notice from DrivethruRPG that you can re-download your file with the latest version.

I've said that I'm really excited about this book and the artwork for it, and these bits I have to share really deliver. It's unlike a lot of the other Onyx Path properties, so it's just so amazing to see.

We're crawling forward through art direction still. All of the tweaks needed for the map have been completed (can't wait to see that!) and now the Art Director is checking in with the artists to get the final pieces completed. Getting this project to the layout phase seems to be it's own mini-game, and I'm hopeful big progress will happen over the next few months. I certainly hope there are some artwork previews to share when Onyx Path has their virtual online convention at the beginning of June.

Quick summary for the month: Our core rules are still in Art Direction, waiting on the completion of the remaining illustrations. No major changes since last month.
I'm super-eager for our At The Gates backer PDF, because it's a cool game and because the artwork and look is so different than the "usual" Onyx Path fare (although there's already lots of variation between - and within - their game lines. This one is just more different.) Anyway, it seems travelling down a different path leads to a more complicated journey. I don't know any of the details, but I'll continue to be patient and excited (and continue to play usuing the draft manuscript) and look forward to our backer PDF when it's ready.
I'll continue to monitor Onyx Path's information sources and update you each month whenever any new information becomes available. So let's get to it...
