Mark Brace is the super fast vigilante, Blue Bird. But as his love life finally begins to bother him with its absence, a harsh vigilante called the Bloody Raven becomes a new focus of interest.
A Superhero Romance novel.
25 years ago, a now defunct pharmaceutical company ran drug trials across the US that went against every regulation. The people who survived, mostly children, went on to develop super-powers. The government has swallowed most of them up into regulated roles as government-controlled superheroes. But some slipped through the cracks and are vigilantes in the Bird Network.
But all the good that the super-speedy Blue Bird does in Denver has a tendency to get overwritten by the bad that The "Bloody" Raven does in Chicago. Still, Blue stays friends with him despite it all, even as everyone else in the Bird Network writes him off. But these feelings of friendship get tested when Blue wonders if he can have a normal romantic life with his super-powered physiology, or if love and sex just aren't compatible with being a superhero.
This novel follows Blue Bird through his struggles to find normalcy with a super-speed metabolism and set of bodily systems and needs. This book is intended for mature audiences and explores explicit gay relationships between the titular superheroes.
