Thanks again for backing the Dungeons and Daddies Sourcebook. We're moving into the next phase of the crowdfund campaign process: getting everyone's pledges organized so we can work towards getting you your goodies.
If you've backed a bunch of crowdfunding campaigns before, this will be familiar. If this was your first one, you may be wondering what a survey is, why some people are getting one before others, and what the heck a "smoke test" is. Wonder no more!
If you already backed the campaign: You will receive an email from BackerKit with a survey. But! Not everyone will receive that email today. We sending surveys to a small group first as a test (a "smoke test" if you will). This is a complex campaign with a lot of different tiers/rewards/etc. so we need to ensure the survey is capturing the right data from you folks. Once we've confirmed everything's working properly, we'll send the surveys to everyone else.
If you missed the campaign: You'll still have an opportunity to join through the Late Pledge/Pledge Manager! More on that below.
If something goes wrong: Don't panic. Contact us at [email protected] and we'll help.
That's really it. Now here's the longer version for anyone who wants to know what all of that means.
When you backed the campaign, you chose a pledge and supported the project. Now we need some additional information from you so we know exactly what you want and, eventually, where it needs to go.
That's what the backer survey is for.
You'll receive an email from BackerKit with a link to your survey. Click that link and BackerKit will walk you through the process.
Your survey is where you'll be able to review the details associated with your pledge and provide the information we need to fulfill your rewards.
You do not need to create a new pledge. You do not need to back the campaign again. But you WILL need to follow the link in the email and complete the steps.
Think of it as the place where your crowdfunding pledge lives after the campaign ends.
The campaign page was where you originally backed us. The Pledge Manager is where you'll now manage the details of that pledge. Your survey is your ticket to the Pledge Manager. You'll use it to review your pledge, provide the information requested, and access any additional options available for your order.
Before we send seventeen thousand emails to everyone, we're sending the surveys to a small group of backers first. This is called a smoke test. By testing everything with a small group first, we can ensure the survey is working properly and we can catch any problems before thousands of people start filling it out.
So if you DON'T get a survey today: That's normal. If you DO get a survey, that's normal too just uh statistically less normal than not getting a survey. People with surveys - please fill em out and ensure that everything appears in order. If you encounter an actual problem, let us know at [email protected].
Once we've confirmed everything is working correctly, we send surveys to everyone else.
Once the smoke test is complete and we've confirmed everything is working the way it should, we'll release surveys to the rest of our backers.
We'll post another BackerKit update when that happens so you don't need to keep refreshing your inbox wondering if you missed it.

Yes! We have opened Late Pledges through BackerKit.
A Late Pledge is exactly what it sounds like: an opportunity for someone who missed the original campaign to place a pledge afterward.

If you're already a backer, you do not need to late pledge. You'll manage your existing pledge through your survey/Pledge Manager instead.
If you or a loved one spent the entire campaign saying, "I'll do it later," this is "later."
Negative! The survey and Pledge Manager are about organizing everyone's orders and giving us numbers we take into production. We are still in production. There are more steps between completing your survey and a package arriving at your door, and we'll keep you updated as we move through them.
Also be cool daddy-o - you don't need to worry about memorizing the entire crowdfunding fulfillment process. When there's something you need to do, we'll tell you exactly what you need to do.
Shipping was not included in your original pledge. You will be charged for shipping separately through the Pledge Manager before fulfillment. Having run crowdfund campaigns during an era before Pledge Managers were standard, I can tell you first hand that the number of people who change addresses between the end of the campaign and the fulfillment of the campaign was a LOT - the Pledge Manager process cleaned that right up.
Exactly! Your address will not be permanently locked today.
Before we ship rewards, we'll let everyone know when the deadline is approaching to update their shipping address.
When that happens, double-check your address.
But for now, follow the instructions in your survey.
If something isn't working, your pledge doesn't look right, or you're confused about something specific to your order, contact: [email protected].
When you contact us, include the email address associated with your BackerKit pledge. That'll help us find your information more quickly.

We'll let you know when surveys begin rolling out, so don't worry if you don't receive yours immediately.

This is my secondary account for any of you that's seen the post about my sister from my primary account... the account picture here I found and it is for her!
Did anybody else notice? On the homepage it says we raised $3,111,193 🎉 of $69,420 - 17,102 dads...
But I feel like that number was significantly lower for both raised amount and how many dads there were when it showed up on the survey... Is that how many people actually dropped it?
For everyone that's getting the dust covers, which one is your favorite and is that also the one that you're going to be choosing for your book? For me, my favorite has to be Polar Bare because it reminds me so much of the fantasy romance novels that I'd used to be able to find on shelves at places like Dominic's the grocery store chain. That being said, I'm personally going with the BDSM cover because I'm a simple enby and the idea of pulling off the Dungeons & Daddies dust cover to reveal that I'm actually reading Dungeons & Daddies feels like the kind of humor I'd see in Looney Tunes and makes me chuckle.
Also this will be on the shelf with my other TTRPG books and I want to make sure that I still know which book it is when looking at the spine because I know that if I don't take it off the shelf twice a month then I'll be looking at my bookshelf one day and wonder why I have a giant smut book on the same shelf as my TTRPG stuff.
