Hi everybirdie! We finally got some pictures in today! 


Batch 2 plushies are almost finished. They're currently being quality checked and packaged by the factory. It will take another week or two for them to be ready to ship to me. 
Once they ship from the factory, it will take approximately one month for them to arrive with me. I'll be posting another update and I'll be planning a packaging day as soon as I know when they arrive.

Thank you so much for being patient with me while life throws a bunch of obstacles my way, lol. I'm really excited to have received these pictures and I'm eager to ship out the remaining packages ASAP. 

Small note: BackerKit implemented a new feature that shows that campaigns are fulfilled once 50% or more packages have shipped. Because of this it now shows that this project has been fulfilled. I cannot turn this off unfortunately, but please be assured that if you didn't receive your rewards yet, I haven't forgotten!

Hi everyone,

A very brief update from my side. A backer made me aware that my BackerKit emails and notifications were not being forwarded correctly.

I know I've been flaky on my communication. Without going into too much detail, I've really had a lot on my plate for the last half a year or so, including the cancer diagnosis of two family members, the passing of a third, and now the imminent passing of a fourth family member, all within the span of about half a year. This has burnt me out incredibly. It's no excuse for my absence, but hopefully it explains why it's hard for me to keep up at the moment. I currently don't have anyone to help me with inquiries and communication.
Please know that it's my priority to get your goodies to you as soon as I possibly can.

That being said, here's the current status update:

- Backers with only batch 1 plushies should have received their packages, aside from 15 backers who seemed to have fell through the cracks:

I will ship these 15 remaining ones out when I'm back at work at my office, probably next week.
Remaining batch 1 plushies that are reserved for this backerkit have been counted, quality checked, and set aside in my office.

- Batch 2 plushies are still in progress
Unfortunately not much to do about this.. the factory seems to have been backlogged a bit since the Chinese new year holiday. Here's a screenshot of the order, paid in full, showing that we are waiting for the factory to ship:

I'm unsure of the ship-by date the factory is targeting. I don't want to make a hard promise on a new date because the dates have been pushed back so many times. When things are a bit calmer in my personal life I will be contacting the manufacturer to discuss. 

If at this point you'd rather have a refund, please leave a comment on this update, and I will happily accommodate this. I'll be going through this thread and processing refunds on Saturday.

Hi flock! Big update incoming, please read everything that applies to you!

Please check your survey. You can now find a tariff line in the checkout overview. Please look at this carefully and take note of the balance that is currently open, as your open balance is now higher and I don't want to charge your card without you having checked the new amount.

The tariff rates that have been applied are: 

It's a lot and I completely understand if you need to take off any add-ons or anything to lower the balance. The base shipping rates have also gone up, but I've decided to cover these additional shipping costs myself. 

I will pay the tariffs to the US government when I buy your shipping label, so your package should be delivered to your doorstep without any surprises.

They arrived really fast! It only took 3 weeks! 
First impressions are really good. I'm going to be quality checking them soon. I'm getting some friends together in the first two weeks of February and we will start packing then!

If your order ONLY contains batch 1 plushies and/or any other add-ons, I will fulfill your order in February - March. I will charge your card for shipping costs and add-ons next week.

If your order contains ANY plushies from batch 2, your order will ship when batch 2 is ready to ship. I don't currently have a good estimate for when this is, but this will probably be 3 months after I give my factory the go-ahead for manufacturing (two months for manufacturing, one month for shipping). My apologies for the delay! 

If you'd like to change your choice of plushie, please do so before your order locks.

I'll be out of the country at the end of February, so fulfillment will be halted temporarily at that moment.

Pastel blue budgie: Looks good to go! The blue in the picture looks a bit brighter than intended, so I may tone that down a bit if it looks as bright in real life. 

Rainbow & Pastel green budgies: Almost there! I might change their wing to be the same yellow as their head. The green on the green budgie might be adjusted a little bit too, depending on how it looks in person.

Pied cockatiel: Nearly done. The only change I requested is to change the color of the yellow embroidery line to grey.

Pearl cockatiels: Almost there too. The grey printed fabric has a slightly different hue to the regular grey fabric. If this is as noticeable in person, I'll have to make some more adjustments.
