Project Update: The (Fund Gathering) Tale Is Over: What's Next?

Alright, we made it! All of you did your part, now it's on me to get you the rewards you earned. So, what will that look like?

On the hard cash side, BackerKit/Stripe will take until about March 11th to get me the first payout, which gives me plenty of time to do checklist work and for failed payments - there have been a few, nothing that will cause any actual problems for the campaign, but if you didn't see a 'your payment has been processed' email you may want to check some things - to get sorted out. March 11th plus or minus a few days is also when it's being recommended surveys are sent out, which will do things like gather shipping addresses. That info, and the funds, are what I need to start sending people their softcovers.

There's a fair amount of busy work to be done on the back end - setting up digital downloads, add-ons for people to pick when they're confirming everything, and so on. I also want/need to keep working on that play log, so I'll be well-occupied over the next two weeks.

You may have also noticed that the Shipped By date, which I admittedly am treating more like a 'you should have it in hand' date, has moved from May to June. This is a bit of pessimism on my end, but as the final print proofs for the The Cog That Remains have been done they've been taking a lot longer than usual to get printed. This is largely due to winter storms mucking things up, and the problem/resulting backlog may very well be entirely cleared out by the end of this month, but I'd rather be wrong in the right direction.

Alright, I think that's a pretty solid update. I'll give you another heads up shortly before surveys start going out, but in the meantime the next you'll hear from me will be to share the Tale of Outlaw Marn Soral and his time with the 'Lightning Cog". Until then!
