A campaign of linked adventures for The Hidden Isle, our magical-renaissance TTRPG powered by Tarot.
Step into a world of enchantment, uproot conspiracy, and protect your haven from gods and despots!
By pledging for the project you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:
Product Specifications. We do whatever is possible to deliver products at the quality and specifications you expect. However, you are not guaranteed to receive products in the exact specification presented on this campaign page. Products are still under development and might change in size, appearance, or content.
Refunds. We fully refund any pledges, no questions asked, within 14 days of the campaign’s end. After this period, we continue to refund pledges with a 10% deduction to cover the fees we paid for the campaign. Refunds cease when we close the pledge manager.
We plan to start the fulfillment process in September of 2027, but that date might move to sooner or later. We’ll notify you of any changes in monthly campaign updates.
Pledge Management. You are responsible for providing a current email address to the pledge manager. Please supply an email address that you check on a regular basis. Updates will be sent to this email address, and you are responsible for reading those updates so you stay informed of project-related information and deadline dates. Package tracking info is automatically sent to your provided email addresses, and it is your responsibility to follow up on your packages should problems arise.
We alert you via methods provided by BackerKit, primarily e-mail, prior to fulfillment. Once we’ve made reasonable efforts, as detailed in these terms and conditions, we must move on with other business and are unable to make exceptions.
Shipping and Fulfilment. If you confirm your pledge prior to final address confirmation and initiation of fulfillment notification via email, you agree that you have provided correct address information and ensured this address is deliverable by normal methods. Failure to confirm your mailing address prior to final request and fulfillment notification will be taken as agreement that our obligations have been met and no further action is required on the part of Causa Creations. Our responsibility to you is to ship your order as entered into our pledge manager. Title and risk pass to you upon delivery to a common carrier for such shipment. Also, you are responsible for import duties or any other duties or taxes that might be payable to relevant tax authorities.
Damaged or Missing Items, Lost or Misdelivered Packages. In case of damaged or missing items, report the issue to [email protected] within 30 days of your delivery. In the case of lost or misdelivered packages, you have 60 days from the ship date to report the issue. We subsequently follow up on the items or resend them.
Warning. For our dear Brazilian backers and others who live in countries with notorious import checks, we want to warn you about extremely high customs fees. Consider backing for only the digital versions. Buy the Spheres of Heaven Tarot deck from a book vendor that ships into your country at a reasonable fee. This strategy lets you play the game while avoiding unexpected and high fees.
Defy despots, befriend magical creatures, and contend with gods in the grandest adventure of the sixteenth century!
Haven’s Heir is our first campaign for The Hidden Isle, our magic renaissance tabletop roleplaying game, powered by tarot cards. We’re also releasing The Dioscorian Library, a book full of rules to expand and enhance the game.
2. The World
The year is 1562. Veiled in ocean mists, Dioscoria is a hidden isle of sages, adventurers, and ancient wisdom. The persecuted flourish here, safe from a world of despots and tyrants.
Dioscorians fight injustice and defend the helpless, whether as spies, assassins, magicians, or paladins. As these agents tackle scheme after scheme, toppling tyrants, cults, and demons, will they live up to their ideals or embrace their darker selves?
The campaign includes two books—Haven’s Heir and The Dioscorian Library.
Haven’s Heir contains connected adventures that explore unresolved tensions within Dioscoria and beyond its shores. How will Dioscoria’s agents stand by its ideals as pressure mounts?

9. Timeline & Shipping This is a sizable project, and we plan to take as much time as we need to develop it to our high quality standards. Work has begun on art, and the plan is to wrap up all other content by the end of winter. That allows us to start production in spring and, therefore, start fulfillment by the end of summer, 2027.
Throughout the project, we’ll post monthly updates to let you know what’s happening within and outside our control. We’ll give you access to work-in-progress materials, including digital content. We plan to make all previously published digital content available at the end of this campaign.

Global tariffs are an ever-changing mystery, subject to the whims of world powers. This chaotic state of affairs makes it difficult to know what the situation might be when we reach fulfillment. We’re in close contact with our shipping and logistics partners, and we’re working hard to find the best, most cost-effective solution. We’ll update you about this process as soon and as regularly as possible. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
