Project Update: Tea Pets: New Super Last Minute Stretch Goal!! New pet unlocked!
We only have a few more hours to go, but we just put in a new stretch goal to see if we can unlock ONE MORE TEA PET at $80,000!
You'll have your choice from runners up in polls prior, so if your favorite didn't get in last time... this is your chance! We picked runners up based on voting % and also your comments!
And again, THANK YOU, from everyone here at Snowbright. You all have been awesome!
Which tea pet are you most excited for?? Let us know in the comments!
Project Update: Final Hours to Back! + New Poll
Ok back to final day shenanigans!
Project Update: Tea Pets: Only 60 hours left + new stretch goal vote!
We're now in the last 60 hours of the campaign!
We just unlocked our next stretch goal, so welcome to the Verdant Isles, Pumpkin Tortoise! Should we have been surprised that the hare got out to a quick lead, but was then surpassed by slow but steady voting for the tortoise??
Read more about our two most recently unlocked tea pets here:
Miniature Tiger
This domesticated cat descended from a fierce lineage of Amberhaven tigers which typically grow to six to seven feet in length. These miniature tigers, however, grow only to 12 to 24 inches. They come in a variety of colored stripes, having lost their evolutionary need for camouflage long ago. Despite their often quite comfy lives poking around farms and in the alleys behind restaurants, they still retain many of the hunting tendencies of their ancestors. They enjoy pouncing on dust bunnies whenever they spot them, and flower dragons know very well to keep their distance. Tea pet caretakers also know not to delay a Miniature Tiger's dinner by too long unless they would like to feel miniature claws coming into contact with their ankles.
Pumpkin Tortoise
Much beloved during Evenfall and other autumn holidays, the Pumpkin Tortoise is best known for its Astra-infused illuminations. These gentle creatures tend to grow to about two feet in length, and their knobby shells provide a subtle, flickering glow at night. Depending on the age and size of the tortoise, this effect most resembles the carved turnips, gourds, or pumpkins that many children and adults throughout the Isle carve each Evenfall. It is said in northern Alpengreen that spotting a Pumpkin Tortoise on Evenfall can actually indicate a mild winter between Evenfall and the Feast of Flourish in March.
What's next? We have a brand new vote for TWO tea pet pals! If we hit $75,000 before the end of the campaign, we'll add not one but two tea pets who just so happen to hang out in the same biome together.
For your consideration:
Pocket Otters & Sun Clams
These otters are known for storing all manner of items in their pockets, especially shiny trinkets like watches and keys. And wherever you find Pocket Otters, you're also likely to find Sun Clams too. These little ocean dwellers change color based on the time of day.
Blue Pandas & Green Pandas
No doubt the Red Panda deserves all of the love that it gets, but have you heard of its cousins the Blue Panda and Green Panda? They're just as feisty as their more popular relative!
Chef Bear & Bumble Sloth
High up in the Umberleap mountains, you just might happen to smell the aroma of a bear hard at work roasting honeyed vegetables on hot rocks. That's the Chef Bear of course, nature's greatest natural culinary expert, and there's a good chance that they got that honey from a friendly Bumble Sloth and the bees that it carries around on its back.
We're super curious to see where your votes take us next! Don't forget that you can also help unlock the Social Butterfly tea pet by sharing out the campaign page on social media and tagging us in your posts.
As always, thank you for all of your support as we come into these final two days of the campaign. For projects like this from indie publishers like us, we just couldn't make it happen without your support.
Stay cozy,
Snowbright
Project Update: New Poll & Miniature Tigers Unlocked!
Blue Rose Lop:
Calm, kind, incredibly fluffy, and renowned for its blue ears.
Peekaboo Fox:
Known for its ability to pop up in the most unusual of places.
The Pumpkin Tortoise’s shell gives off a subtle glow at night that makes it look similar to the carved turnips, gourds, and pumpkins that children and adults make for Evenfall each year.
Project Update: Social Butterfly Challenge Begins!
Project Update: Last week for Tea Pets Campaign + a family companion fan vote!
This peculiar breed of beagle has an extraordinarily long lifespan. They are often adopted when a child is born so that they can be lifelong companions.
This domesticated cat descended from a fierce lineage of Amberhaven tigers. Today, it mostly spends its time chasing Dust Bunnies and Flower Dragons.
It is estimated that 1 in every 1,000 chinchillas that are born end up being Chaos Chinchillas. They can be identified by the markings on their fur and their nocturnal sleep cycle, which is their preferred time to engage in ridiculously mischievous activities.

Project Update: New Tea Pet & poster unlocked! $50k milestone hit!
This latest tea pet fan vote was our most lopsided vote yet! The Constellation Jellyfish had a quick jump at the start and then won by a mile... which makes sense because this was a poll to identify the LARGEST tea pet in the Verdant Isles. Thanks to you, we now know that the largest tea pet in the Isles is the Constellation Jellyfish. You can read more about these magnificent and mysterious creatures below!
In the meantime, we have just launched a poll for fans to vote on a new burrowing buddy to add to the Isles! It's a hard one... they're all so cute! More about our new subterranean pals is also included below.
We hope that Tea Pets can inspire folks to learn more about the animals in their own communities. Ready to go out and see some real life animals? Take a look at resources from our friends at the Smithsonian and Journey North to go photograph wildlife in your own parks and help scientists track real world migrations. You can also find more nature-based activities in Snowbright's Cozy Companion magazine. We're really proud to partner with environmental scientists on their important ecological work and proud to have donated over $1,000 in game profits to programs like Journey North this year.
And now... on to the tea pets!
Choose your new burrowing friend wisely. Only one can stay!
Tuxedo Mole
Incredibly dapper and talented underground dweller, known for its distinctive velvet-like fur and its polite manners.
Whistling Woodchuck
If you've ever been hiking across the plains of Alpengreen and heard a mesmerizing whistling tune coming from a hole nearby, you've probably found one of the famed Whistling Woodchucks.
Sugar Pangolin
Armored like standard pangolins, this creature has evolved the ability to grow thin strands of hair around the edges of its scales. The hairs look almost like spun sugar (giving the animal its name), which tangles up into a puff ball that can then be sheared for cloth.
And the Constellation Jellyfish:
Have you heard the tales? As the trawlers come back across Oyster Bay, they say the night sky had flipped upside down. Beneath their ship: a field of stars for hundreds of feet in every direction. The Finfolk of Oyster Bay know the secret behind the rumors. They also know to keep their distance from that celestial sight. It signals a bloom of Constellation Jellyfish! Each jellyfish is 100 to 150 feet long and puts on a dazzling bioluminescent light show at night. Their tentacles trail behind them, delivering a painful sting to anyone reckless enough to jump into the water during such miraculous displays. Witnessing a Constellation Jellyfish bloom is considered one of the great wonders of the Verdant Isles.
We are head over heels for the two celestial aquatic creatures that have been unlocked so far (the Constellation Jellyfish and the Saltwater Star Gecko). Completed version of the Star Gecko included after the jump in the backer only update!
That's all for now - stay cozy y'all!

Project Update: SEVEN Stretch Goals Unlocked! See which tea pet unlocks next!
So we're giving a few of the previously rejected tea pets a second chance in our latest stretch goal vote. Which tea pet will you save from the rejected ideas pile??? The adorably mischievous cuddlefish squirrel? The mysterious teacup spider? The very fluffy and round pistachio hen? It's your choice! The other options will be gone for good from the Verdant Isles. 😭
If you haven't checked out the other activity on our Tea Pets project lately, now's a great time to take a look. We've unlocked 7 stretch goals so far and continue to keep rolling! Sharing out our project and sharing our social media posts are still the best ways to help Tea Pets grow and add more new critters!
In the meantime, Snowbright was thrilled to be invited out to Washington, DC this past week. We attended the US Department of Education's summit at the Kennedy Center where we were able to share the world of the Verdant Isles, Time Tails, ink, and more with students and nonprofits from around the Washington, DC region.
We even got to teach a class on game development and computer science to the wonderful students from Riverside Elementary using our Time Tails learning game! We hope you all enjoyed the free dice and coloring sheets that we were able to bring!
Thanks again for all of your support in making this project a success and we can't wait to see which tea pet gets a second chance!!
Stay Cozy!
