Moving the surveys to September
Since I am still waiting on samples for the other 2 toys I am moving the surveys from August to September. Gives me a bit of time in the middle of all the Megaplex prep to get everything sorted and hopefully just a bit more time to get sample photos of the next 2 toys.  Surveys will remain open until all the samples are sorted so customers can see all the toys and make their selections that way. The Gshep sample has been completed and we may have it in time for Megaplex, if that is the case we should have it at our booth, it all depends on how shipping works out as we are getting close to the convention.

The manufacturer has informed me that they have worked on the first version of the collie toy as the husky will be the last one. So I should have photos to look at of the collie and then see what sort of revisions it will need soon.

For now have some cute Gshep toe beans, the company sent us some photos since I wanted to see how cute the paw pads came out and they did not disappoint.

Surveys will be sent early August and General Updates
We're currently getting all of the surveys prepared and plan to send them out in early August. This will give us a better estimate of how many of each plush was ordered and help us plan production. The surveys will remain open until later this year so everyone has a chance to see the final samples before making their selections.

On the manufacturing side, things have been moving a little slower than we'd like. That's definitely one of the challenges with our current manufacturer, but the quality they produce makes the extra time worthwhile. The German Shepherd is going through its final minor revisions and should be approved soon, which will be another sample checked off the list. We're still waiting to see the first samples for the Husky and Collie, and we're staying in close contact with the manufacturer to make sure they match the artwork as closely as possible.

I know we go through more revisions than many creators, but that's because I have high standards for the plush we produce. I'd rather spend extra time perfecting them than settle for something that doesn't meet expectations. As soon as I have more sample photos to share, I'll post them here so everyone can follow along with the progress.

Right now we're in the middle of the Megaplex rush, but we'll continue posting updates here a few times each month to keep everyone informed. If you're attending the convention, be sure to stop by our booth! We'll have a selection of plush available, including (if they arrive in time) a limited number of Scarlet and Apollo, along with a small quantity of Dusty plush.

We'll also have a giant plush on display that will be available through a silent auction at our booth. Here's a work in progress photo so you can get a sneak peek of what we've been creating. He is a 6 foot plush that has an inflatable bladder. The bladder can be removed if you would like to stuff him with polyfill instead. The silent auction will be made available at Megaplex and you will be able to bid out of the con through telegram. More info can be seen here on our telegram channel:

Atlas revisions - Minor changes needed
Still going through minor revisions but we are getting so close to happy with the design. Manufacturer just sent us photos last night but I pointed out 2 parts that needed to be altered. The color between the eyes was made dark brown instead of tan which will be changed. The 2nd part was the cheek dot, they made it too small so it was hard to see. I like cheek dots so I want them to be a bit bolder when you look at the plush.

Once Atlas is done with revisions they can move onto the next design.
Overall I am super happy with the way the toy is coming out, I hope you like how Atlas is looking.

More updates a soon as they send them our way.

Vinyl Figure campaign coming up in 2027 & Updates
SoftCandy Toys is gearing up for our second BackerKit campaign, and this one is all about Fursona Vinyl Figures!

We'll be launching with two adorable base designs: one with upright ears and one with floppy ears. Whether you're a collector, artist, or customizer, we'll have options for you with both blank DIY figures and fully painted collectible editions available.

This is just the beginning, and we have plenty more to share as development continues.

👉 Follow our BackerKit campaign now so you don't miss updates, sneak peeks, early bird rewards, and launch-day announcements.

Be among the first to help bring these unique Fursona Vinyl Figures to life when we launch in early 2027!

Vinyl Blanks:

We will have the first batch of these at Megaplex before the official launch early next year. So if you want your own vinyl figure to paint be sure to stop by our booth. We have a few artists already painting their own which we will have on display at the con :)

Current Plush updates:

We are still waiting on the manufacturer to show us more progress. Once we get it we will post it here. We will update as soon as I get news to keep everyone up to date.

Kigurumi's:

We have these in the works at the moment but have yet to receive good enough samples to share. So these are being re worked and once the design is just right we will share. We hope to have a sample to show sooner than later. Our goal was to get all the toy designs done as kigurumi's.

Atlas Prototype and current revisions happening
The first version of the Atlas prototype has been completed. We are currently working on revisions so it matches the art better and follows a few things I had asked about. Draw overs are the changes we are currently getting made, once the revisions come in we will show them here.

Happy with how he's looking, let's see how he looks after they do some of the alterations. The fur is also very very soft. Same fur used on Apollos body which I am excited they used that.
Getting a few changes on the face, adding parts that were missed as well, eyes getting slightly resized and re positioned as well.
This area is getting changed a bit so it uses the shorter fur so the details stand out better. Same fur as used on the arm.
We are getting the legs with the fluffier fur so it matches the way Apollo looks which was a nice transition from longer to short. The longer fur is the same used on the cheeks.
Sent a revised art piece of the front of the face so they can see the color transitions a bit better next to the current toy. I work closely with the manufacturers when doing all these changes. It involves a lot of back and forth a lot of draw overs and just new art to get the exact look. Love doing this but like anything it's a process and takes some patience.

Hope you like how he's coming out. Once the other 2 start showing up we will show them here too along with any revisions we are doing.

There are quite a few failed charges, please check your cards
We have quite a bit of money in limbo at the moment because of failed charges. Please be sure to check your card, make sure the payment when through.

"Failed Charges

Failed charges are charges that were attempted but came back as declined. Backers have 14 days after the project ends to correct failed payments."

Please get these fixed to be able to get your pledge rewards. We plan to start placing the order for the first 2 toys this month (Scarlet and Apollo). We need to get the failed payments sorted out to get the rest of the toys rolling once the samples come in.

Thank you.
