Inkvein is a caving-centric megadungeon crafted for MÖRK BORG, drowned in inky horror. Emerging from the quill of ENNIE nominated Murkdice and published by ENNIE winning Space Penguin, this tomb of monochrome terror is not to be missed!
From ENNIE-nominated writer Murkdice and ENNIE-Award winning publisher Space Penguin Ink comes INKVEIN, a megadungeon for MÖRK BORG, drowned in inky black horror.
This massive, 250+ page tome of monochromatic terror is your complete setting guide and adventure for subterranean exploration. It has been designed from the underground-up to help you run a classic, old-school dungeoncrawl campaign. Whether you're a first-time GM or a seasoned veteran, INKVEIN has what you need to take your adventure deeper, darker, and more dangerous than ever before.
This book is packed with art. It has over 75 illustrations from full page landscapes to character portraits, all in an inky style that reflects the themes and vibe of the setting.
We understand the need for ease of use with a megadungeon product. That’s why every spread of dungeon keys has a mini-map, and keys have exits listed with sensory details to help players make directional choices. Our layout is clean but moody, and classy but dark.
Inkvein is a meeting of dark fantasy horror and dark academia. Quill knights in paper armour attempt to keep the Inkvein safe while scholars seeking the truth are driven mad in its depths. Ink miners risk life and limb to return with a flask of black gold to pay off debts. Esoteric artefacts are uncovered and threaten to consume those that find them.
Claustrophobia is rife. Have your players desperately try to figure out what to do when they get stuck in a tunnel and an Ink-thing starts crawling towards them.
Climbing is treacherous and never risk free: watch players gulp as they have to roll on the fall table to see how bad things are about to get.
This all comes together to create a living, breathing megadungeon that is an unstoppable engine of tension.

Luke Saunders, Murkdice (writer, artist, and designer). Luke (a.k.a Murk) is a 20-something Brit with a passion for the macabre and the melancholy. He’s also nutty enough to do all the writing, illustration, and layout design.
Lyndsay Didcote, Murkdice (editor and project management). Lyndsay is also a 20-something Brit, and the poor soul who wrangles and cages Luke’s mad scribblings. We all pity her, but only her iron-will can withstand his madness.
Jarret Crader (publisher and project manager). Jarrett has worked in ttrpgs for almost 15 years and has been co-owner of Space Penguin Ink since day 1.
Dai Shugars (marketing and campaign designer). Dai is a graphic designer, commercial artist, and accessibility consultant. He also publishes books, manages crowdfunding projects, runs Space Penguin Ink's social media accounts, and very occasionally writes things.
Debbie Deaver (shipping and fulfillment). Debbie is the heart and soul of Space Penguin Ink, a great cat mom, and the most wonderful partner one can ever hope for.
