Just a quick update for you. I've got the bonus sticker sheets for people who backed 5 projects or more in the June Summer Book Bazaar! These include all the covers for all the books released, as well as some extras. Yes, even "The Book Bazaar" is a sticker!
I'm working on sending all these out this week, so keep an eye out for them. Both sheets will come in one plastic wrap, and if you got anything else in the campaign, I've shipped it all in one package.
If you didn't get a sticker sheet but want one, I may have a few left for sale in our Holiday Market, starting November 18, along with books, pins, charms, and maybe even a few jars of jelly and honey!
Two sticker sheets with stickers of all the covers in The Summer Book Bazaar, as well as four top hats, a monocle, a cane, and a sticker of The Book Bazaar.
After this, there are only three more books to ship out! I just sent the eBooks for Alex Kinglsey's Promise of Manifest this morning (left sticker sheet, bottom row, second from left), so look for that in your inbox.
I'm hoping to get the physical books ordered in the next couple days. We had to wait for final illustrations from the illustrious Katie Cordy to get the book out, but the wait is worth it! I've attached one of the four illustrations below...
A giant frog, its tongue coming out to strike, menaces two figures. It's at least twice as tall as they are.
If you want more great books from Space Wizard, our next campaign starts in just over one week! So get some more great books in Space Wizard Year 5, Part 2!
I hope to be back soon with publishing dates on Queen and Obsidian, the last two books!
It's been a bit since I got an update out. Sorry about that! But, we also had a little downtime between sending out packages, so there wasn't a lot to report.
Now, however, I have some fun new things for you! First off, we have the cover finalized for the Space Wizard Novellas! You might remember we didn't quite get to the stretch goal to completely fund it during the campaign, but with some extra funds from the addons in the pledge manager, we were basically able to pay for the cover cost. Spoon of Spoonwood visuals once again did an amazing job, and we can now show off the final for you!
A figure in an orange/red spacesuit with the Space Wizard logo on the chest holds a crystal ball in their hand. Inside the ball, a jungle is visible, with the hint of scorpion claws. In the spacesuit's visor, the ball is reflected as a geodesic dome. around the figure float stars and dandelion seeds.
If you've read any of the novellas, you might find a few hints and easter eggs on the cover. There will be more on the back of the hardback! These should be ready to order in a week or so, and I'll have a small supply for conventions and things.
Second we also have the final cover for Pressure Magic, which releases on October 13th (about a week!). Serene did a great job with this one, as usual!
We've got three more books coming in November and December from the June campaign. I hope to order them all in the next few weeks to get them here in early November and ship out the rest of the rewards to everyone!
And that bring us to what's coming next from Space Wizard! Part 2 will be starting on October 29th, and the covers are starting to come in for this campaign! We have some great books in store for you, so make sure to follow the campaign. Right now, you can listen to an interview with:
I sent out a bunch of packages last week, including the following titles: Lucianus by C.J. Beshara Aliens in New Florida by Carmen Loup Gunmaker by Chris Gerrib Romance and the Gentle Art of Rocket Racing by Rena Rocford
A reminder picture of all the covers, if you need one!
So we're ahead of schedule this year, as Romance technically doesn't release until mid-September! I'm still waiting on the final touches for two covers to get the sticker sheets, but once I have those, I'll be shipping out another batch of rewards.
I will also be sending out the eBook of The Overarch Omnibus (previously tiled The Quirk & Moth Omnibus) later this week or early next week. Because we hit the stretch goal to get a new cover designed, all backers get a copy! And it's a really fun cover. We've got the final design, and I'm just waiting on the hardcover wrap to order the physical books. They're chonky, coming in at 1116 pages!
The Overarch Omnibus cover
I've also just got the full wrap for my next book, Pressure Magic, which releases in October! Serene did an amazing job, as usual. She's going to add a few more touches in the sky, but it's basically complete. We'll get the final titles added soon as well. Take a look!
The full wrap for Pressure Magic! Why is there a giant otter in the background?
Finally, if you enjoy Space Wizard books, please follow our next two campaigns! We'll be putting up an exclusive interview with Mary Robinette Kowal soon for The Sapphics Strike Back audiobook campaign: And we'll be posting author interviews starting in late August/Early September for our Year 5 Part 2 campaign, starting October 29th. This campaign includes Quirk & Moth Book 4, so if you enjoy the omnibus, this is a great time to preorder the next one!
I'll be back with more exciting news soon, along with maybe even a new, spicy direction for Space Wizard! Stay turned!
Thanks for getting those surveys in! I just now finished sending out eBooks for all the previously released Space Wizard books, as well as Lucianus and Aliens in New Florida, the first two books from our Year 5 campaign!
Please check your email and make sure the email hasn't gone into a spam folder. You have 4 weeks to download the eBook before the link times out. I'm happy to give you another link if that's the case, but downloading the first time makes everything smoother!
Gunmaker is the next book coming out, and you'll be getting that one very soon as well!
I've also received physical copies of Lucianus and Aliens in New Florida, and I'll start shipping those out next week!
In the meantime, if you're looking for more Space Wizard books, make sure to sign up for Year 5 part 2, coming in October! You can see out first cover reveal below!
