My artist has been working HARD and I have two more covers!

The editing is also going well, and I should be able to finish everything by the end of November. Ebook fulfilment should happen soon after that and paperbacks and hard covers will be shipped by end of December. (Fingers crossed)

The free short stories and badges would be sent alongwith the ebooks. I will let y'all know when the fulfilment starts. Ebooks will be added to the bookfunnel libraries so y'all can download and sideload to your devices to read.

The books are still being edited and my cover artist is working on the remaining covers too! But in the meantime, I thought I'll get a start on surveys, so expect them soon!

A certain number of people will get surveys in advance as part of the smoke test. This is to ensure everything is shipshape so those who get it, please lmk if there are any issues!

Y'all, I'm so tired!!

I hyperfocussed to finish up the pledge manager part the day after the campaign ended and from then on, it's been back and forth with backerkit while they point out issues and I run around to correct them.

Hopefully, everything will be approved soon! But the surveys are not going to be sent out just yet, because I'm going to start editing in August. This month is crazy with a LOT.

I have a book release on 27th. It's book 2 of my queer, high political fantasy series, The Echelon. I am starting on the final proofread in a couple of days so I can get it ready in time for release.

I'm also judging the SPSFC this year, which is a competition for Self Published Sci Fi books, and I have to read and review four semifinalists this month. I haven't even started any of them yet because I'm suffering from a very serious danmei addiction and unable to read anything else at the moment.

This month also has five birthdays in my family. My dad is no longer with us, but his birthday was on the 1st of this month.

That cute baby in his arms is yours truly.

Yesterday was Pluto's birthday and we got her a small cat tree, but true to cat form, she chose the box it came in

My birthday is on the 20th, my daughter's is on the 27th, and my mom's birthday is on the 24th. Mom is with my sister in another district now, so whether she'll be home then is not known.

This month is also the deadline for tax filing in India, so that's something I need to do too.

In short, this month is busy month overall.

I will send another update when the surveys are about to be sent!

In the meantime I have a sale going on on my webstore for some of my books to celebrate all the birthdays, especially my fur baby's! It's the shop button on the top/ side bar depending on the device you're using.

We're at the final stretch and only $500 away from our first stretch goal!!

Y'all! I'm so excited!!

I once had ideas for a sequel to the series, set somewhere in the far future and centred on Lucas.

It hasn't happened yet, but it might, you never know.

There's one scene written, which I'll be using as a short story for every backer who has backed since the email.

There are no spoilers for the main series, since it's set quite far in the future

Yes! All eleven projects have been funded, and y'all, I can't tell you how happy and excited I am! We're a group of indie authors and small presses consisting of a lot of marginalised folk, so it's awesome to see the support!!

We only have eight more days to go in the campaign, and there are STRETCH Goals to meet!!

Ngl, I have a whole file full of memes for characters from various books (mine, that is)

I have been writing a lot of fanfiction since I finished revisions for Blade Reforged, giving my brain a break from serious stuff. Fanfics are fun! These days, I write fanfics for the MDZS and SVSS fandoms. I'm a die hard Jiang Cheng and Shen Jiu fan and I'm wholeheartedly dedicated to giving those bois some happiness!

I'm also reading a lot of danmei these days, and man, I really like some of these! There are a lot of problematic relationships, but there are also some rare ones where you just keep rooting for the main couple from the get go and the relationships are just awesome. In most of these, what I like best is, even when the romance is important, it's not the only thing that matters. There's a plot that's not just there for the purpose of bringing those two together, which I like very much.

Pluto has been not very well, these days; she got a fungal infection, but it's clearing up, thankfully. This is an old pic of her sleeping on my Thousand Autumns box set.

Clearly, I need to get more box sets. (Ignore the extremely messy room, please!)

Fuck GenAI. I hate it being inserted into everything for no reason, like man, read the room, we don't want your planet burning plagiarism machine or its hallucinations.

I hope to hire my artist for some human made character art, but it all depends on meeting my stretch goals, so y'all, please, pretty please, back my project while there's still time!!
