Character-defining. Narrative-defining. Build-defining.
Mythic treasures are more than leveled treasures. They define a character's narrative throughout the campaign and significantly shape its approach to combat.
Will you fulfill the myth?

Mythic Treasures is a new take on leveled items - ones that don’t just scale with your character, but help define them. Each mythic treasure shapes your story across the campaign and fundamentally changes how you approach combat.
You can think of a mythic treasure as your second subclass. That’s how much it matters. Each one offers a far deeper progression path than a standard leveled treasure, with four timesas much content, including things like heroic abilities, branching choices, and narrative beats woven into its design.

How are mythic treasures different?
Narrative beats unlock each level’s power, creating a personal heroic arc
Additional progression at levels 3 and 7 (on top of 1, 5, 9)
Grant heroic abilities, not just passive benefits
Designed around tactical combat loops instead of straight upgrades
Tailored to encourage buildcraft& experimentation
Only one can be wielded at a time
Cannot be crafted
What does that look like in play?
Want to play a stealthy, inquisitor-like Censor? Don the Umbral Shroud, hiding within pools of conjured darkness, and striking from the shadows.
Want to play a musical, skald-like Fury? Bear Crescendo’s Edge, composing verses to empower allies and weaken foes as you cut them down, leading to an explosive crescendo.
Want to play a hellish, warlock-like Elementalist? Wield Soul Eater, reaping the souls of your fallen enemies and consuming them to modify your abilities with various soul boosts.
The 'Mythic Treasures' book will contain the following:
20 mythic treasures, fully illustrated
100 trinkets (mostly for combat!)
Each mythic treasure is the length of two entire pages, filled with original, new mechanics, a narrative section with beats as requirements for each level's benefits (1, 3, 5, 7, 9), a tactics section detailing how to best make use of it, and a kick-ass illustration by Dojikaan.
We're also including a bunch of trinkets. Because you can only wield a single mythic treasure, we wanted to include a plethora of armor, weapon, and implement trinkets so your character can be completely geared out. But of course, there are also plenty of trinkets that don't fall into those categories, as well as a decent selection of utility trinkets.
Art, art, and more art We are intending to illustrate every single one of the 20 mythic treasures on top of the already completed cover art, as well as some of the trinkets.
Design and playtesting Every mythic treasure takes a lot of initial design work, and then a bunch more playtesting, and then some more design work as we iterate after every playtest to make sure the treasures are fun, engaging, and balanced.
Layout and editing Our layout artist and editor have a lot of work cut out for them, seeing as this supplement is going to be 50 pages at least.
Mythic Treasures are more than just an item on your character sheet. These treasures live up to their 'Mythic' name by truly transforming the way you fight and making sure that you really feel the weight whenever you wield one."
- Jacob "Jacons" Consenz, creator of the Knight
A treasure in itself for anyone who loves magic items. There's a huge variety of items that feel mythical in their scale and scope rather than simply another treasure to hand out to the party. The table of narrative beats listed with each treasure does a lot to integrate their escalating power with the heroes' own.
- Ritehunter, creator of the Stormrider
These feel like the maximized version of the 'leveled weapon' concept. Not only do they level up twice as often, but they also come with dramatic questions of the treasure's past and your hero's future quest.
- Kyle Strong, creator of the Huntsman
Mythic treasures felt like another phase of character-building - they add plenty of crunch and fluff, and they felt as cool as magical treasures should.
- Lebiro, creator of Oh, The Humanity!
I felt like an avenging avatar of war crossing the skies to fell my foes.
- dnkmnk, creator of the Deepwalker
Flavourful, fun, and enticingly powerful, these new treasures provide engaging new mechanics and narrative punch.
