The team here moving their way to wrapping things up to send to print, with just a few more hurdles to overcome. While that team is working on getting the final pieces in place and necessary approvals, we'll be getting the pledge manager ready to open as soon as possible. I am writing this from LibertyCon in Chattanooga. This is where, a few years ago, I met Eric Flint and told him how much I enjoyed 1632 and the sequels . . . and the talk grew into a deal for the official GURPSRing of Fire book.
Which is what (I hope) you are supporting now.
This is not a sales pitch - it’s just a letter to thank you for your support and tell you what I’m up to.
This year’s convention hasn’t even started yet, and it’s already special. I just had lunch with Griffin Barber and Charles E. Gannon, two of the GURPS Ring of Fire writers. I’ll be at the 1632 breakfast and will meet some series creators I have never gotten to talk to - and it will be my first face-to-face meeting with Bjorn Hasseler, our Continuity Editor, whose task it is to make sure that every word in the book agrees with series canon.
I’m excited.
The other thing I’m excited about is this: We are talking to one of the top Actual Play troupes about creating a Ring of Fire one-shot which would drop about the time the book comes out. So you’ll be able to see the game played by some really fun people before you start your own campaign. A thought that was floated at lunch today . . . ask the book’s authors to create the characters that will be used in the one-shot! I like that idea and we’ll see where it goes. (No, I’m not naming the troupe because nothing is signed. When there is a real commitment and a real schedule, I’ll share.)

Pay Over Time
We recently turned on the Pay Over Time feature, which allows backers to split up their pledge into equal payments. This is the first time we've used this feature on any of our projects, and we’ll be looking at all of the details of how this plays out, as well as any feedback we hear from backers.

Trust & Safety
It was recently brought to our attention by the Trust & Safety team at BackerKit that they had identified malicious content posted on the project page. First, thank you to the backers that reported these posts. This made it possible for the team at BackerKit to address this promptly.
These posts impersonated BackerKit staff and linked to fake verification pages NOT hosted by BackerKit.
We want to remind you that BackerKit will NEVER ask you to verify your account or payment details through an external link and that official communications from their team will always have a staff badge. If you see any further suspicious activity, please report the post and let us know so their team can investigate.

Pledge Level Update
Oh no, we overlooked one of our pledge levels and inadvertently priced the PDF bundle $10 higher than intended! The team at BackerKit does a great job making sure there are no switcheroos on backers during a project, but were happy to help us correct the price. As we were able to get this patched up pretty quickly, backers need take no additional action. Thanks to those from the SJG Discord and the Unofficial GURPS Discord for giving me a poke!
Can I get GURPS Basic Set, 4th Edition Revised early?
We've been seeing this question come across our screens, and we can understand why. We've talked a bit about this internally, and we have a few answers.
GURPS Basic Set, 4th Edition Revised PDF will be sent out after the campaign closes via the pledge manager. Delivery of the PDF largely depends on when it becomes available to standard retail channels, and we also have to ensure that the pledge manager is open. Rest assured, we will take the appropriate steps to deliver the 4th Edition Revised PDF on an advanced timeline.
For those seeking to receive the hardcover earlier than their GURPS Ring of Fire book, we have added a new add-on named 'Split Shipment'. This add-on will allow us to easily identify backers looking to have their hardcover copy shipped early. Similar to the PDF, we will take the appropriate steps to deliver the hardcover on an advanced timeline.
We will share more details on timing as we get closer to availability.

I can't seem to get a link to the 4e Revised pdf. There's supposed to be a link on the last page of the survey (per a forum member) but I don't see any on either the final confirm page, the survey completed page, or the confirmation email.
I know this has been asked in the past, and I'm putting aside the whole issue between the crowdfunding folks (includes me) getting the PDF later than others, etc., etc.
My only question now is, having completed the survey, when do we expect that survey to lock so we can get the PDF delivered to our Warehouse 23 account?
