Mission Update! Launch Success and Funding Secured!
Hello, everyone!
You know, I thought I'd be sitting down today to thank you all for making the launch of REMNANT such a wonderful experience. This is my first crowdfunding campaign, and I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. I was hopeful, of course, but also more than a little nervous that I wouldn't succeed.
Instead, I'm sitting here writing a thank-you for funding the campaign in TWO DAYS!
I can hardly believe it!
Yesterday was a whirlwind. I did a livestream (terrifying experience, by the way! I asked a friend how people manage to do those regularly. And WHY!? I think I blanked out for the entire minute I was supposed to be pitching my book! Introverts like me and livestreams are non-mixy things!), I made some posts, I shared the cover, and I hoped that maybe two or three people would take an interest.
And then you all showed up.
In just two days, twenty wonderful people pledged their support, pushing us past our initial $500 funding goal! Along the way, we've also unlocked a few community achievements, including some new artwork! I've attached them to this update so you can take a look. And we're already more than halfway to our first stretch goal!
WE DID IT!
I genuinely don't know what to say, except thank you. Thank you for taking a chance on a first-time novelist, for believing in a story I've been working on for years, and for helping me take this enormous step toward finally publishing it.
It means more to me than I can properly put into words.
