When do we stop surviving and start living?

I've always loved science fiction for the places it lets us go. For the things it lets us explore within a vast universe of new rules. Strange worlds. Impossible technology. Alien creatures. And, perhaps most importantly, questions about what it means to be human.

REMNANT grew out of that love.

Earth has fallen.

After a devastating war with a triumvirate of alien civilizations, humanity's survivors were divided. Some became loyalists, willing to adapt, collaborate, and live under alien rule. Others—deemed dangerous, disposable, or simply unwilling to conform—were branded remnants and exiled to the Remnant Sector, a sprawling open-air prison where hostile ecosystems, deadly predators, starvation, disease, and ever-present wardens make every day a fight to survive.

Brígh Rowan has spent most of her life calling the Sector home. She helps her father shelter newly exiled remnants, strives to keep her head down, and avoids the whispers of rebellion rippling through the safe-haven settlements. Survival has always been enough.

Everything changes when a mysterious warglaive pilot crashes into her world. His arrival draws the attention of the wardens and stirs chaos throughout the Sector. When he saves Brígh's life, he inadvertently strands them both in dangerous territory... and puts a target on her back.

As Brígh and the pilot, Derick, search for his missing teammate, they're forced into an uneasy alliance that challenges everything they've been taught about the world they live in. But the deeper they venture into the Sector, the more they uncover secrets that reach far beyond the prison walls, and the harder it becomes to tell friend from foe.

The goal of this campaign is to fund the final steps needed to publish REMNANT in ebook, paperback, and hardcovers editions. The initial funding goal covers the essential publishing costs like ISBNs, and any funding beyond that will go directly toward making the finished book it's absolute best.
