The 2021 Rat Queens - To the Slaughter Campaign is Dead. All promised pledges, extras, and add-ons by Deep Water Games/Ox Eye Media/Source Point Games have died with their failed campaign.

2) Is this campaign connected or associated with Rat Queens - To the Slaughter (2021)
Beyond using the base game design by Sen Foong-Lim and Erica Bouyouris; no.

Talespinner Games, founded by the Rat Queens IP co-owner Kurtis Wiebe, has been developing this game adaptation since reclaiming the rights in 2024. This new campaign is under the banner of Talespinner Games and is an entirely new venture and an entirely new crowdfunding effort to bring a Rat Queens game to the market.

As part of this new venture, Talespinner Games will be offering a courtesy copy of the base game plus an expansion to backers of the failed 2021 campaign by Ox Eye Media/Source Point Games and their affiliates.

3) Are you affiliated with Ox Eye Media/Source Point Games?
No. There was a Rat Queens licensing agreement between Kurtis Wiebe and Ox Eye Media which was rescinded in 2024 due to breach of terms, failure to pay the license holder any of the agreed percentages and failure to deliver product by the licensee.

Any issues, demands or questions about finances, missing money or refunds from the failed Rat Queens - To the Slaughter (2021) campaign should be directed toward Ox Eye Media/Source Point Games and any of their affiliates.

Talespinner Games is running a totally new campaign for a totally new Rat Queens game. For all intents and purposes, you should consider yourself a New Backer for this New Campaign, except we are going to be offering you, the original backers of the 2021 failed campaign, access to a locked Pledge Tier called Redemption that is a free courtesy copy of the base game and the Braga Expansion. You may, if you desire, choose one of the other two locked tiers (Beauty and Second Wind), which grants you access to narrative unlocks, beauty upgrades and other Rat Queens add-ons.

You are not required to buy anything in the Redemption pledge tier to receive your courtesy copies.
