It's the most important question for playing any RPG - what character do you want to play?

Who Do You Want to Be is the first chapter of character creation in Criminal Spirits, laying out the options from an overworked waitress with kids to an ancient spirt of snow topped mountains and everything in between. I think I have covered a lot, but I'm happy to know if you have a character concept in mind that I did not cover!

Like with the previous updates, backers can view the draft pdf below the divide. If you have not backed, you can still pre-order Criminal Spirits in the Pledge Manager store.

It's been a little longer than expected, mostly because this is not the first chapter I planned to release. "Places to Go", the chapter I meant to finish first, is under revision because I wasn't happy about how it was coming out. Instead, I turned my attention to the second chapter, all about how to get there.

Let me know what you think of this format and the information included, because I am planning to use this for the Places to Go chapter as well. The earlier and deeper feedback on Criminal Spirits the better the books will be for everyone.

Ok! While it required jumping through some hoops and making some compromises, all digital add-ons ordered during the Backerkit campaign should now be available! Check your email for a link or log back into your survey to get your DriveThru RPG links.

For those who want digital add-ons they didn't get during the campaign, please order them now through the survey or the pre-order store at https://criminal-spirits.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders.

On October 31st I will lock all current accounts so that you can be charged and have delivered all new add-ons. If you want to lock and receive your add-ons early, or if you want to unlock your account in the future to add more let me know, as I will have to manage that manually.

If your new here and didn't back, you can still use the pre-order store but will not receive any digital rewards until I manually lock your account, or until all accounts are locked (probably in January).

I hope this is all sorted out, but if you have any issues reach out to me through backerkit to resolve them.

Backer Surveys have been sent out! Check your email and if you don't see it by tomorrow morning, your spam folder. Everyone should receive one. 

I'm still working on the right settings to get everyone their digital downloads. Backerkit wants to only distribute once your surveys are locked, so I may have to reach out individually by email.

The Criminal Spirits backerkit campaign is concluded! We reached $2,284, comfortably above the target.  Thank you everyone who backed Criminal Spirits! 

Now it's time to get to work on delivering everything that has been promised. Those who supported the pdf add-ons or got pre-launch rewards should be getting their links for Moonshine, Swamp Witch's Auction, and Trouble over the next week. 

Edit and Update: Backerkit is recommending waiting 14 days for all pledges to be processed, so expect links to be coming October 15th.

Once pdf rewards are sorted out and Backerkit has confirmed processing the campaign, I will be sending out preliminary Backerkit surveys. Backerkit suggests doing so 2 weeks after, so expect to be receiving them in mid October. Everyone who backed one of the patronage levels will also be receiving a direct email from me to work out what character or location you want added as art to Criminal Spirits!
