This anthology collects 37 whumpy stories that explore the after of whump: trauma, grief, and sometimes comfort and healing. If you're a fan of whump or hurt/comfort, this is the anthology for you!
All WPP books will be available as add-ons in both ebook and paperback!
If you back the campaign at any level (including the $1 level), you'll then be able to add any WPP books to your pledge. That's over two dozen different books for you to choose from! We are also offering a couple special bundles. You can find descriptions and content warnings for all of our books on our website.

Our initial funding goal is $100. At $1,000, every backer will receive free downloadable wallpapers illustrated by our awesome cover artist Nicole Alessi! At $2,000, we will commission an alternate, whumpy cover for After the Hurt. We’ve had some readers express interest in explicitly whumpy covers for our anthologies, like what we did for Hurt and Comfort. If we hit this stretch goal, we’ll make that a reality and commission an artist to do a whumpy cover. You’ll get to choose which cover you want when we send out surveys (the regular “discreet” cover or the explicitly whumpy one).
We are currently in the process of copy editing the anthology. Our tentative goal is to have the book completely edited and formatted by the end of the campaign.
The biggest risk is that the project fails to meet its funding goal. If this happens, After the Hurt will still be published in ebook and paperback, however, no bookmarks will be produced.
The other major risk is production and shipping delays. We will be working with several vendors, and depending on their schedules production could take longer than anticipated. We will do our best to communicate any delays. As with any project involving shipping packages there is the small possibility of packages being delayed, damaged, falling into the ocean, etc. The postal system is a fickle beast. If your package is lost in the postal system, we are unable to offer a refund.
Shipping will be charged after the campaign ends to ensure that you get the best price possible. Tentatively, shipping within the USA will be $6-9 (via USPS media mail) and shipping internationally (for one book) will be $20-$30.
Estimated fulfillment timeline:
October 1: campaign ends
October 14: surveys are sent to backers
October 30: shipping is charged
November 15: books ship
