Have you recovered from the rush which was Pintopia yet? At this point you are probably getting several updates about surveys starting, and I am adding to that pile! 😅 I have just sent the smoke test to some of you (about 5% of pledges). Once I know there are no issues, the surveys will be sent to the rest of you in the next two days or so.

You'll be able to add on any additional pins, select the designs you want as well as add on any of my previous campaign books, art & more!

A few important dates to note:
Surveys will lock May 31st at which point pledges with ONLY the 3D pin will be charged for shipping so I can send them to you ASAP.
Around June 30th cards will be charged for add-ons and shipping for all other pledges.
July 31st is the last possible day to complete the survey or forfeit the pledge. So please complete it as soon as you get it!

I wanted to highlight a few items you will see there which I think you will love!

* limited edition gold foil art prints - these are left over from my first Gilded Dragons art book campaign. And features all your favourite dragons! But as they are limited edition, I only have a handful left. 

Unfortunately it's really hard to take nice photos of the foil and updates don't allow videos, but these look amazing in person! In fact, i have my own set displayed on my wall above my computer!

Another limited item is the Collector's editions of Star Found. With the release of Star Awakened in September, I am changing the covers to match. Which means that these copies in stock are going away and will become limited edition (less than 100).

So, if you loved these covers, and love having signed first editions of books, here is your last chance. Because once these are gone they are gone forever. (Note these are signed, not numbered editions)

I absolutely love this book. I have filled it with 14 illustrations, including a map and chapter headings. It also has 30 pages of bonus content! It has the added specialness in that it was the first cover art I have created during the campaign! It has larger print as well as premium paper with full colour art.

I have placed the order for all the pins at my manufacturer already, and it is expected to arrive back to me mid June! 

In fact, I had pre-ordered the mechanical seahorse and he looks so cute! 

The pin was the final piece to my full collection. He was inspired by a character in my novel, Star Found, and I was so happy when he unlocked! 

I have added this full gift set in the add-ons for you as well if you love him as much as I do. Featuring the limited edition gold foil prints, bookmark & sticker. It'll make the perfect gift for a bookish friend or yourself.

I don't remember if I ever shared my new ilustrations with you guys, but here are some of the new art that will be in it.

I am still debating whether I should draw even more dragons. But that will all depend on my productivity after my surgery next week. I have a few concepts in mind to add to the book.
I still need to format the bonus content for it as well. But my goal is to order these early June so I can ship them together with the pins and once I have final numbers from add-ons. So I have lots of time to make even more dragons ^_^

You guys were SO CLOSE to unlocking the final two dragons, so I decided to go ahead and unlock them anyways! Both the golden glitter guardian and Limited Edition 3D scorpio dragons are available as add-ons and options now!

I have so much exciting news today to share with you guys! First, I finished another dragon illustration for the art book. Though in typical me fashion I can't decide which version of the bee dragons I love more, so I'll share both 🥰😍🐉. And you can vote which one you want to see featured in the art book!

It's official, the pre-order store is now live! So if you missed backing the campaign, now's your chance to claim these pins for yourself at the same prices as the campaign. (Note backers will receive their surveys in a couple of weeks - if you are a backer, do not buy from the pre-order store!) The pre-order store is only for those who missed the campaign.
 
Note pre-orders won't be charged until July31st, but all preorders will be locked June 30th.

Backerkit has been charging cards over the past week. However, there are over 25 failed cards. This could happen due to expired cards or in some cases because you backed so many of us that your bank noped right out of there. You can still update your card to be added to the pledgemanager. But you only have a few more days! Please check your payment information if you haven't received an update yet! 

I have decided to unlock both the missed stretch goals. We only needed $112 & 17 more backers, so after doing some numbers, I decided to unlock these pins. 

Plus, the golden glitter dragon has been upgraded to a 1" pin instead of 0.75". So two new dragons have joined the hoard! Bringing the total to 11 new dragons!

The limited edition 3D Scorpio will be an edition of 250.

Note that the 3D* version will be limited, but I might do a 2D glitter version in the future which won't be limited.

I am also considering printing special backing cards for the limited edition pins like a certificate of authenticity. But I'll have to see how much this will cost first as I want to prioritize the pins. So the backing cards will be a stretch goal if enough people add the pin to their hoard ^_^

You have unleashed almost all the dragons and we got so close in the final hours to unlocking the 3D Limited Edition pin! (More on this later)

While it may feel like the end of an exciting campaign, this is only the beginning! 
Over the next week or so, I will set up pledgemanager and your surveys while Backerkit charges your cards in the back end. (You likely already received an email about that ^_^)

Once I have set up the pledgemanager, and figured out how much shipping pins etc. will cost, you will receive a survey where you will get to choose your pins. This may happen between 2-3 weeks from now. However, you won't be charged until I have all your stuff and start shipping.

Once I receive funds, I will order all the pins from my manufacturer in early May. It will be very helpful if you complete your survey sooner than later so I can estimate how many pins I need of each style. 

You can also add on more pins and other goodies in pledgemanager. And like Backerkit campaign, you won't be charged right away. I will send out an update to announce when I charge cards. 

How long this will take will vary as I plan to send everything in waves. For the tiers which have only the 3D limited edition pin and no add-ons, I will start shipping those mid-May since I already have the pins. 

For everyone else, it takes about 6-8 weeks for me to receive all the pins (So sometime in July) at which point I will lock those orders and ship. In a very optimistic way, I want to have everything shipped by August if at all possible. But I will keep you all posted when things arrive! So you can celebrate all the shiny new things with me!

While I wait for the pins, I will finish the new art for the Hardcover art book and share progress with you guys on here. Everything will be shipped together. 

Backerkit pledgemanager has this really cool feature where we can still earn stretch goals we didn't quite make. And you guys came so damn close to unlocking the 3D limited edition pin! 
So, as long as there aren't any dropped/failed pledges, and we still hit $10,000 (Excluding shipping) in the pledgemanager, we can still unlock this dragon! 

But more than that, if we hit $11000 or 20 new backers I will also unlock the glitter mini pin! So it is not too late to unlock these dragons! And you know what? We were only $112 away from getting the 3D dragon!!!

So while the campaign may have ended, there is still a chance to make your hoard even more epic! These dragons will be available as add-ons, but you will only be charged if we unlock them. So add them to your carts if you want to help unlock them!

Well, I have my work cut out for me, with 233 of you, I will have to start organizing a system to sort all your pins and set up the pledgemanager. ^_^

I love them both! So I need your help deciding. I'm partial to the gunmetal, but then I close my eyes and fall in love with the gold metal.  

So I had this crazy idea...what if we unlocked both versions at $11,111. 🤔 (Because that would be such a fun number to hit!)

I also think if we did unlock the gold one, I would change the book colours slightly to match the golden tones better.

You will never believe what I discovered this morning as I was busy cleaning out my in-person market stock in preparation for covacon (Our local comicon) next weekend. A bag full of 25 of the limited edition 3D moon dragon pins! I had thought they were all sold as I only had 50 in my storage. But it was like discovering a whole hoard of treasure when I stumbled upon them!

Since you guys have been the most supportive backers when it comes to my pins, I decided that instead of hoarding those for my event, I will make them available as its own 3-pin tier.

I made a hidden/secret tier which I will make public this afternoon to give you guys the first opportunity to snag one of these last remaining pins since you have supported me from the start! 

I am not reprinting these ever again. These pins are simply forgotten stock I discovered while going through my market stuff. I can't believe that we are approaching the final 48 hours of the campaign! It has been such a thrilling ride and I am so grateful to every one of you who has supported this campaign and this dream of mine.

I am so pleased with the campaign. In fact, I decided to do a flash goal and offer a FREE Gilded Dragon postcard to the first 300 backers when we hit $9500! I loved the way the pins looked together so much; I went ahead and printed a postcard with all of them on it! 

I have also been thinking long and hard about the last two stretch goals as we enter the final days of the campaign. I really want them both to unlock, and if the campaign strikes a typical trajectory, we should definitely unlock the 3D limited Edition pin at $10,000. However, we still need 75 new backers to unlock the Golden Glitter Guardian pin. And who knows where that will land us in terms of funds?

So, I thought, why don't I unlock the design at 250 backers, but only offer it for FREE to 3+ tiers at 300? That way we can unlock ALL the stretch goals and dragons! And there is still a chance at 3+ tiers getting it FREE when we get enough backers in these final hours!

Exciting news! And just in time for the final few hours, too! 

In case you missed my previous update, I had just revealed a brand new tier which includes the limited edition 3D Moon Dragon pin. I had come across a secret trove of 25 of these pins in my market storage and decided to add it to the campaign instead of hoarding it for my covacon market. 

I am not reprinting these ever again. These pins are simply forgotten stock I discovered while going through my market stuff this morning. So if you joined us later in the campaign, and thought you missed out, here is your chance to snag one of these!

One of the printers I use for my art books just released gold foil for their hardcovers! And guess who is a sucker for shiny gold foil? 🙋‍♀️Yup, that would be me. And after pricing everything out, I decided that I would upgrade all the hardcover art books to have gold foiling details on the cover!!!

You may not be able to see it, but I had already added golden elements to the cover. Now they will just be extra shiny ^_^

Thank you, everyone who came and stopped by the livestream today. ^_^ I wish I could say it was a huge success, but unfortunately my computer didn't exactly play along very well with twitch. Photoshop kept crashing and lagging as I tried to draw the dragon. But that is ok! It is all about the experience of stretching my comfort level, and learning how to engage, and on that front, I will call it a huge success! ^_^

So what do you think? These steps will be included in the art book as well as a little writeup of what I did. It's a lot of fun seeing the art come to life. But there were definitely moments I doubted myself and questioned if this would turn out good or if I would end up scrapping the dragon altogether ^_^ I am glad I pushed through. I think this little guy would make a cute pin in the Gilded Dragons Volume 2 campaign!

I also wanted to share with you guys the banner I made with all the unlocked dragon designs so far!

I think these look so good together! And I can't wait to display them in my Dragon's Lair (Aka office/art room/library)

You did it! You unlocked the book wyrm!!! It's time to bring out the glitter and toss the paper confetti ^_^ 

You guys are amazing! And we still have 5 days left in the campaign!!! We have two more stretch goals, and we aren't that far off from unlocking either of them! Both the Golden glitter Guardian mini pin and Golden 3D Limited Edition Scorpio Dragon are within our reach! And as we enter the final days of the campaign it will be a nail biter on when we unlock them! 

While we wait for these dragons to join the hoard, I wanted to take this opportunity to highlight the Gilded Dragon hardcover art book as it is very dear to my heart.

My entire life I have dreamt of one day making my own art book, and last year I finially released the Gilded Dragons in softcover through a Kickstarter Campaign (Though it originally started out as just an art zine!). Since then I have not only created more dragon art, but I have learned so much about art books and printing (especially how much I personally LOVE hardcover art books), that I felt finally ready to re-release the Gilded Dragon art book as a hardcover. 

Initially it was simply going to be the same book as a signed/numbered hardcover edition since I never released it in hardcover before. But as the campaign progressed the book wyrm was born. And it inpired me to take another look at the hardcover. 

So not only will the hardcover have brand new cover art and be signed & numbered, it will have brand new interior content! 

If there is one thing I should have anticipated, it's that when I have a positive experience during a campaign, it fuels my Muse and gives me boundless energy to create more art! So other than including just the dragon art I have created since last year, I am going to create 3 more dragons for the interior! And while I finish these illustrations I will also document my process to add it as content to the books!

Each page of the finished illustration is a full page art piece, because I believe the best way to celebrate art is to show it as big as possible. 

The artbook has grown by at least 8-12 pages already of brand new content! The only way to get a numbered copy of my artbooks are through my campaigns. And the ONLY way to get signed copies are through campaigns and in person events!  But as the campaign is drawing to an end, I thought, why not credit those who support this artbook in its first stages by adding a thank you credit page to anyone who buys a copy during the campaign! So, if we hit ten hardcover sales during the campaign, I will add an extra thank you page with those backers' names! (They will choose which name to credit in the surveys)

I decided that I will do another live on Monday at 12 pm. Vote on which dragon you want me to draw and join me in the livestream! It will replace the campaign banner, or you can join the stream directly on my twitch channel @Therena_C

There is more than one way to enjoy the dragons. From the art book, to the art prints and pillow cases to the pins! You can truly enjoy your hoard in so many different ways!  

So grow your hoard and collect all the shinies and art! Lets unlock those final stretch goals.
