Originally created for the Make Me Howl: Decadence Special Edition, the Moon Wolf Pin honors Killian, a beloved character whose journey spans multiple series.  Readers first met Killian in the Order of the Dragon series before he received his own novel, Make Me Howl: Decadence. Readers can now discover his earliest appearance in A Dragon's Dilemma, where he first appears as a baby.

The Elemental Dragons were inspired by the descendants of the Norse gods Baldr and Nanna, whose family branches across multiple fantasy series. How Crowdfunding Works

Crowdfunding, though well-known, is often confused with GoFundMe. However, while both appeal to a larger population, that's where the comparison stops. Crowdfunding provides seed money for a project to be brought to life. In this case, since this project is for enamel pins, I've set an initial funding goal of $1,500. This initial goal will cover the cost of producing the first two pins (including the freebie pin and the dragon with the die pin).

Project Timeline

The campaign will run for 7 days, during which we'll push to reach our funding goal.

You won't be charged until the end of the campaign (July 22). This is an all-or-nothing campaign, meaning you'll only pay if the campaign reaches its funding goal. If the campaign doesn't reach its goal, you won't be charged, and the campaign will be considered unsuccessful.

After the campaign ends, BackerKit will process your payment. Please note: the EU has introduced new rules (GPSR), which make shipping to the EU cost-prohibitive for a small business like mine. As such, this project only ships to the United States.

Once payments are processed, funds will be sent to me, approximately two weeks later. This will mark the beginning of the project's next phase.

A survey will be sent to gather the necessary information to finalize orders.  Surveys will be sent out after the campaign, and are due no later than August 25th.

All shipping will be done by September 15, 2026.

All rewards are expected to ship by September 15, 2026.  If you order add-ons, digital items will be sent once payment is processed and surveys are returned. Any additional physical items will be shipped with the pins when they ship.

To receive your rewards, you must complete your BackerKit survey and pay any applicable shipping fees by the deadlines provided during the campaign fulfillment process.

All communication regarding surveys, shipping, and fulfillment will be sent through BackerKit campaign updates and reminder emails sent to the email address connected to your pledge. Please make sure your email address is accurate and monitored regularly. If you use Apple’s private relay email system, double check that you have access to the forwarding email attached to your account.

Backers are responsible for:

Reading campaign updates
Monitoring their email for survey notifications
Completing surveys on time
Finalizing their shipping address
Paying shipping fees by the stated deadline

Failure to complete your survey or submit shipping payment by the final fulfillment deadline may result in forfeiture of your rewards without refund.

Reward Forfeiture Policy

Once fulfillment is nearing completion, a final campaign update will be posted containing the final survey deadline (right now that deadline is August 25th).

If your survey remains incomplete, your shipping fees remain unpaid, or you fail to respond before the stated deadline, your rewards and pledge will be considered forfeited. Forfeited rewards will not be shipped, refunded, or reopened after fulfillment has closed.

Address Accuracy & Returned Packages

It is the backer's responsibility to ensure their shipping address is accurate before fulfillment begins. Address changes requested after an order has shipped cannot be accommodated. Backers are responsible for providing a correct and deliverable shipping address through their BackerKit survey.

If a package is returned due to an incorrect address, delivery refusal, or failure to claim the package, the backer will be responsible for any reshipping costs.

I am not responsible for packages lost due to incorrectly entered addresses.

Lost Packages

All physical orders are shipped with tracking. Once your order has shipped, you'll receive an email notification from the shipping carrier with your tracking number and delivery updates so you can follow your package's progress.

If your package is returned due to an incorrect address, refusal of delivery, failure to claim the package, or failure to update your shipping address before fulfillment, you will be responsible for any reshipping costs.

If your package is lost in transit or does not arrive, you must contact me within 30 days of the final fulfillment/shipping update posted for the campaign.

If your tracking information shows that your package has been delivered, please first check with members of your household, neighbors, and your local post office. If you still cannot locate your package, you will need to file a missing package claim with the shipping carrier. Once a package has been marked as delivered to the address provided in your BackerKit survey, I cannot be responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, or misplaced after delivery.

After the 30-day reporting period has passed, lost or missing packages will be considered forfeited, and replacements or refunds will not be provided.

While I will always do my best to help resolve shipping issues and provide shipment information when needed, I cannot guarantee carrier performance once a package has entered the mail system.

Damaged Pins

If your pins arrive damaged, please contact me within 30 days of receiving your package and include clear photos of the damage. I will do my best to make things right.

Please note that enamel pins are partially handmade items, and minor imperfections such as tiny scuffs, slight color variation, or small cosmetic inconsistencies may occur during production. These are considered normal characteristics of handmade collectible pins and not manufacturing defects.

However, your pins should arrive structurally intact and wearable/displayable upon arrival.

Damaged Books

If your book arrives with significant shipping damage, manufacturing defects, or you receive the wrong edition, please contact me within 30 days of delivery and include clear photos of the book, the packaging, and the shipping label.

I will review the damage and, when appropriate, repair, replace, or otherwise resolve the issue.

Please note that books are manufactured and shipped by third parties, and minor cosmetic imperfections, such as slight corner wear, tiny scuffs, small scratches, or other minor variations that do not affect the readability or structural integrity of the book, may not qualify for replacement. Each case will be reviewed individually.

Because collector editions are produced in limited quantities, replacement copies are available only while inventory lasts. If a replacement is unavailable, I will work with you to determine an appropriate resolution.

All physical rewards will be shipped with tracking. Once your order has shipped, you'll receive an email from the shipping carrier with your tracking number and delivery updates so you can follow your package's progress.

To keep fulfillment simple and ensure timely delivery, physical rewards for the Flame Nation Summer Artifact Collection will ship to U.S. addresses only.

Shipping charges will not be collected during the campaign. After the campaign ends, you'll receive a BackerKit survey where you'll confirm your reward selections, provide your shipping address, purchase any additional add-ons, and pay any applicable shipping charges before your order is fulfilled.

If a package is returned due to an incorrect address, refusal of delivery, failure to claim the package, or failure to update your shipping address before fulfillment, a second shipping attempt can be arranged. However, you will be responsible for any additional shipping costs.

Due to the nature of crowdfunding and the fulfillment process, I cannot offer refunds once payments have been successfully processed.

Estimated Shipping Date: Surveys are due by August 25, 2026. Once surveys have been completed and shipping has been collected, all rewards are expected to ship by September 15, 2026.
