hey, I hope not to bother with an out of place question. I am slowly reading through the Old City adventure as I prepare myself for my very first campaign in Memento Mori. I have had a doubt since the Memento Mori ruleset, which the "Burning Sky" adventure has not discarded completely. In Chapter VII of the main rulebook, while speaking about Session 0, it is clearly stated that setting up a binding pact is an activity done together with the players. In particular, deciding effigies while brainstorming with the players is of utmost importance, since it will shape both drifters and the story. Now, at the beginning of both adventures, it is clearly stated that since everything is decided, there is no need of a binding pact. However, let's say I make my players create their own characters, how do I decide the keywords necessary to help them shape their characters? I find it a bit confusing that the Binding Pact is officially of utmost importance, but no effigies are given for the pre-made adventure... Of course, I will read through the adventure and decide for myself, only I had hoped to learn how to create good keywords myself by playing them!! In any case, amazing job with this game. I am looking forward to playing it and receiving the Old City adventure as well: content is amazing and the books are simply a work of art. Absolutely adore it!
