Project Update: New Scenario Collection: "The Winchester Tales", Plus Codex PDFs and More

Greetings, backers!

TL;DR: PDFs coming on DriveThru, The Demonic Symphony is out, The Winchester Tales announced, Talismans shipped, Discord is thriving—come join the pack!

From our earliest games, DriveThruRPG has been the den where we at Two Starving Gnolls have shared our creations. Now we’re bringing The Exorcist Codex there; both the Core Rulebook and the GM’s Guide in PDF.

As backers, you’ll soon find these PDFs waiting for you in your DriveThruRPG library. If you’re already registered at DriveThruRPG, you’ll simply get an email with download codes, and the books will appear in your library. Not registered yet? A quick sign-up and you’ll get them too!

Even better: these are the definitive editions; now with bookmarks on all page references and brand-new cover art! And with the freshly released Roll20 character sheet, your online sessions will run smoother than ever!

And have you read The Demonic Symphony yet? Did you spot yourself in it? Several of you who had the NPC reward are now immortalized in the scenario! And more good news: we’re officially working on The Winchester Tales; a scenario collection for The Exorcist’s Codex, shaped by your inputs and NPCs, set in and around the city of Winchester. Look for it on BackerKit this fall!

And for those lucky gnolls who bought the Talisman bundle: they shipped today! Each piece comes in a fine box, carefully packed in a bubble-wrap envelope. All talismans are shipped with tracking; you should already have received an email or SMS with your tracking info. If not, reach out to us at [email protected], and we’ll provide it. (The sender will appear as Jarle Haktorson.)

And finally; let’s talk about Discord.

In the early days of online gaming, I explored forums, message boards, and all sorts of early digital dens where gamers gathered. Later, Facebook and Reddit made it easier to share posts and connect, but they never quite captured the live feeling of being around the same table.

For me, that changed with Discord. At first I joined the communities of game publishers and podcasts I followed, but when The Exorcist’s Codex was born, it became clear that Two Starving Gnolls needed a den of our own.

Now, two months in, our server has grown past 100 members; gnolls swapping stories, asking questions, and catching the latest announcements. We hope you’ll join us too. After all, a pack is stronger than two starving gnolls! Join us at https://discord.gg/ZPVhRwytCX

Until next time; keep howling, and keep playing!
