Hey there! We launch tomorrow! Wanted to give a quick primer for anyone who hasn't done crowdfunds before.
There's absolutely zero worries if you're new to BackerKit. Here is a brief explanation of the crowdfunding pledge process to get you prepared!
First, what actually is crowdfunding? Crowdfunding is when you raise money for a project by collecting small contributions from a large number of people. It is done usually online.
It means asking your community, friends, fans, and supporters to help fund your project by pitching in whatever they can. In return, donors often get exclusive incentives that aren't offered anywhere else.
It’s a way to bring creative projects to life through collective support rather than relying on big investors. A quick note: You will not be charged for your pledge, add-ons, or shipping until after the campaign!
So, how do you pledge? Here's a breakdown:
1) Create an Account
Create an account to pledge and join the crowdfunding community! Doing so helps you stay up to date with campaign updates and will allow you to participate in other interactive posts such as polls, discussions, and achievements.

2) Select a Pledge Level
Choose the pledge that best fits your wants and budget! Some pledges offer discounts when items are bundled together.
3) Include Add-ons
Do you want more Primal Hunter goodies that aren't included in your bundle? Check out the add-ons! After you select your pledge, add-ons will allow you to further customize your rewards and get additional items.
4) Check out
Once you check out, you can sit back and watch the campaign grow! You'll want to check back in for any stretch goal unlocks, campaign updates, interactive polls, etc. As the campaign and community continues to grow, so will your rewards as a backer. Once the campaign is over, keep a close eye on your email for the incoming survey.
5) Manage Your Pledge
After the campaign ends a survey will be sent to your email (this can take some time - we aim for a few weeks after the campaign, but sometimes it can take longer). You'll be notified via email about the survey. Through the survey you will be able to lock in the exact tier and add-ons you want! Keep in mind, if you chose Pay-in-4, you won't get the survey until after your 4th payment has gone through.
As a reminder, you will not be charged for your pledge, add-ons, or shipping until after the campaign! If you want to add more or remove something from your order, you will be able to do so via BackerKit until orders are locked.
