Project Update: March Update
Hi everyone, welcome to the fourth monthly update.
As a quick reminder, fulfilment for this project is being handled by Tuesday Knight Games. I need to have all materials shipped to their warehouses before July 2026 and I’m happy to confirm that everything remains on schedule.
Colour Scheme
I'm at the stage where I need to lock-in a colour scheme for the module. I've been quite enjoying Backerkit's poll feature - so I thought it would be fun to let you, the backers, vote on the colour scheme.
Writing
I've recently discovered an excellent series of blog posts by Sam Sorensen (from OVER/UNDER) about editing your RPGs. As such, I find myself frequently revisiting the text of Prospero Protocols, making improvements. Those of you who've supported my previous work will know that this will be the biggest zine I've produced by myself, so it's easy to keep feeling like the writing isn't 'finished'.
Artwork
I'm still doing the 'rough' illustrations for the module - this takes a long time as I often have to draw multiple versions of the same image, changing it every time until I find something I'm happy with.
This project has caused me to start learning how to do 3D modelling with Blender. I don't want to replace my current art with 3D models, but rough 3D models would assist me as a guide in drawing non-standard shapes (i.e. spaceships) from interesting angles.
After I reviewed all the artwork I had in the zine, I was kind've disappointed - a lot of the things I wanted to illustrate, I didn't have the space to draw! So, I've added an additional four pages to make room for more artwork. This has pushed back progress a bit, but I think it will be worth it and we're still on schedule.
