Project Update: August Update!

Hello everyone!

We got into a lot of logistics troubles following a bunch of new stuff coming for international shipping (especially in the EU and the new US tariffs), and completing our shipping contract for You Will Die in this Place was very important. We apologize for the later update! Last Hope is not shipping for a bit, so hopefully things will have settled. We're not currently planning on stopping shipping on ordered made during this campaign, we'll find ways, no need to worry!

There's also really cool news! Folks at Narrattiva, an Italian publisher, wants to make Last Hope in Italian! It's really cool, and we're eager to work with them on it when the times comes!

We got a small delay on the starter adventure, since Lex needed to finish a previous Kickstarter text, we'll keep you updated on this! A larger update to the DEV file should be released next week following this weekend's playtest!

We have our first panel for the intro comic, minus the dialog boxes, which features 5 of the iconic characters (which will have a pre-made sheet, the fifth one is not yet there)! This will serve as a "cutscene", going through character creation, rules, and some of the lore when playing the game for the first time.

You can see a bit more of Unmei's personality! They're not evil, just a bit special

We also have 6 of our 10 girls made. We'll then move on to the boys when the four missing ones are completed!

From left to right, Top: Angel Heart, Wild Heart, Tainted Heart. From left to right, bottom: Porcelain Heart, Tender Heart, Monarch Heart.

The next character will be the Envious Heart (Green Color) which won the poll, followed by the Beaming Heart (Blue Color), Unresting Heart (Orange Color), and the Golden Heart (Yellow Color). We'll be making another poll for the boys too, but the first one will be the Monarch, since he's supposed to be in the comic with the others, so we need his design!

We also received a first design for one of the Omamori: this one for Heroism. There will be a couple of changes, since the top left is a bit busy, but we like where it's going so far. They're made by Kathleen Breault (which art featured in the Galerie Jean-Tal de Montréal, Musée de la Civilisation, and won a Japanese Copics Markers contest in 2025- approved by Hiro Mashima, which is not nothing!).

Thank you again so much for your support and your patience! Making big projects with a small team is always a challenge, but we hope you will love the game as much as we do!

Don't forget that if you were on the fence due to the price of the Hardcover book during the campaign, there's now a softcover version in the pre-order store!

Have a great weekend, and see you soon!
