Project Update: Survey Timeline 📝
A quick check-in from the front lines!
First, another massive thank you to all 552 of you for an incredible campaign finish. We are hard at work finalizing the pledge manager to ensure everything is ready for the next phase.
The Survey Schedule
Our target date for all backer surveys is March 26th. However, you may see an email from BackerKit a day or two earlier. We will be sending out a small batch of surveys first for "testing" purposes to ensure that everything is working perfectly before we trigger the final send to everyone.
When you receive your survey, you will be able to:
- Provide your shipping location: Don't worry if you are planning a move; you will still be able to update this address later this year before we lock the manifest for fulfillment.
- Add extra copies: If you want to grab another copy of A Forlorn Hope for a friend, they will be available in the pledge manager for $84 each.
Payment Issues?

Project Update: Missed the Charge? Pre-Orders are Now Open! 🪖
The campaign may be over, but the recruitment office is still open! We’ve had several people reach out asking if they can still get a copy of A Forlorn Hope after missing the deadline. We are excited to announce that our Pre-Order Store is officially live!

- The Veteran's Kit ($84): One copy of the game including all unlocked stretch goals.

Project Update: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! $42,258 and 552 Backers Strong! 🎖️
We made it across No Man’s Land!
First and foremost—thank you. Because of your incredible support over the last 30 days, A Forlorn Hope is officially funded and heading toward production. We ended the campaign at 423% of our goal, and we couldn't be more excited to get this game onto your tables.
What Happens Next? (The Logistics)
Now that the smoke has cleared, here is the timeline for the next few weeks:
1. Payment Processing (Next 48 Hours) BackerKit will begin charging the credit cards on file for your pledge amount. Please keep an eye on your inbox; if there is an issue with your payment (e.g., an expired card), you will receive a notification to update your information. You’ll have a short window to resolve any "errored" pledges to ensure your rewards stay locked in!
2. The Pledge Manager & Surveys (March 26th) We will be using BackerKit’s Pledge Manager to finalize everyone’s orders. You can expect to receive your Backer Survey on March 26th. In that survey, you will have the opportunity to:
- Provide your shipping location.
- Change your pledge level if you've decided on a different tier.
- Add extra copies of the game to your order.
3. Shipping & Taxes (Collected Later this Summer) As a reminder, shipping and taxes are not included in your pledge today. These will be calculated and collected via the survey system later this summer once we have finalized the weights and carrier rates. This allows us to provide the most accurate and fair pricing for every region.

Project Update: FINAL 6 HOURS: The Insert is in Sight!
We are officially in the final 6 hours of the campaign, and the momentum is incredible!
Status Report:
- Funding: $41,151 (Officers are locked in!)
- Next Target: $45,000 (Custom Molded Insert)
- Dream Goal: $50,000 (Spiral Bound Rulebook)
