We are focusing much of our desk time on Delicious in Whiterock, and will have a digital release later this week!
Here's a screenshot from our InDesign file:
We can hardly wait! It's been a fun process to put this together, and we hope to have all these delicious recipes and deadly monster-hunting tips in your Inboxes soon.
Then it's on to Descent of the Ancient Fane layout and updates!
Thank you all for your support! It has been the highlight of our year and we treasure each and every one of you.
You can almost taste it - Delicious in Whiterock'sdigital release is coming soon! Have a nibble of the art inside it at the end of this email, with three pieces from Tahlia Espenscheid.
We're able to start on layout this weekend and will work out a way to get you your copies of this delectable, fully illustrated PDF in August.
Print copies will ship along with the main Fane, which is not far off either.
Faith Murphree and Jota Cravo are cranking out the last pieces of art for Descent of the Ancient Fane. After that, it's a matter of laying out this 200+ hardcover beast and sending it to our printers. We're in close contact with all parties in that process, and will you posted as the final steps are achieved.
In the meantime, we have exciting news from one of our artists. The dazzling Tahlia Espenscheid, who provided the Delicious in Whiterock pieces below and many others, has an adventure of her own on the horizon. It's the eerie, kooky, and deeply cool Mr. Ringtail's Menagerie, a surreal circus-themed adventure.
Mr. Ringtail's grand opening is a little under a month away, but you can get a sample PDF when you follow now. Check it out, keep an eye on those inboxes for updates about Delicious in Whiterock, and give yourself a hug for us. We're immortally grateful for your support of Descent of the Ancient Fane!
We'll share weekly updates as the Fane's final phases come together. They'll be to-the-point, brief and meaningful.
When we have art to share, share it we shall. And on that point, Faith Murphree has delivered a pair of magnificent pieces: The tableau piece for The Dominion of Desire, level 3 of the Ancient Fane, is complete.
Also, Faith's sketch for the art map of level 1, The Dominion of Guilt, is also done. It doesn't have the exquisite details Faith is famed for delivering, but here's the outline for you to ponder its many perils:
That's all for now! Expect some sketches for Delicious in Whiterock next week, along with more from Faith, and possibly even the margin art from Stefan Poag!
Here's a real quick update, and another note of our endless thanks to all of you:
Author M. C. Funk will be at DungeonCon 2 this Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning, at the Goodman Games site in Fort Wayne, IN. The Witch Pleas Publishing booth will be right by Registration, so we look forward to meeting any of you in attendance!
Speaking of DungeonCon 2 attendees, Stefan Poag is working on the margin art for Descent of the Ancient Fane's many, many pages. He's creating six separate pieces for various sections of the book.
Our other artists - Jota Cravo, Alexander Moore and Faith Murphree - are also putting together the last maps, monster drawings and level tableaus. As they complete, we'll share them here.
That's it for now, folks! We're excited to see some of you in Fort Wayne this coming weekend.
To all of you, each and every one of our extraordinary supporters, we give our profound gratitude. Thank you all so much for turning this truly outstanding work into a reality to remember!
