The Saga of Seven Suns is the grandest project in my career—now 13 books, 2 million words and over 6000 pages. I've been working on this for 25 years.
It is War and Peace across the Spiral Arm, a huge space opera with hundreds of characters, alien races, galactic empires, lost civilizations, exotic creatures, and even killer robots. Seven Suns is my homage to everything I love about the science fiction genre.
It took me me several years to get the rights back from the various publishers, and now, for the first time ever, I am releasing the complete Saga of Seven Suns, including a brand new volume, Roamer's Wrath, written just for this campaign.
My team has been working for more than a year to put together the pieces of this truly epic campaign.
Beautiful New Design and New Cover Paintings
For this campaign, we redesigned the entire series of books for a beautiful consistent look. In addition, the complete library has been reproofed, consistency-checked, and reformatted. We also commissioned new cover paintings from Hugo-Award winning artist Stephen Youll.
Deluxe Signed/Limited Editions
I want to finally give all the books in the series the lavish treatment they deserve. We've created a breathtaking deluxe set with sprayed edges, colorful endpapers, spot color interiors, and varnished case-bind covers. They'll have beautiful color signature pages, a different one for each book. Each copy will be signed and hand-numbered and strictly limited to 150 sets: The Universe Set of the entire 13 books, and The Galaxy Set including just the original seven novels.
Along with the deluxe editions, we'll also be offering handsome jacketed hardcovers, trade paperbacks, and e-books to fit within all budgets.
Roamer's Wrath, the New Seven Suns Book
In preparation for this campaign, I wrote a brand new book that fits between novels three and four in the original series. Roamer's Wrath is the heart-wrenching story of a mother's search for justice after a terrible tragedy inflicted by the Terran Hanseatic League, and her grief and revenge might lead to the death of stars.
Roamer's Wrath also includes two other standalone stories set in the Seven Suns universe, “Feet of Clay” and “Hole in the Wall.”
Hardcovers, Trade Paperbacks, Ebooks
If the deluxe sets sell out, or if you just want a less expensive alternative, the books will also be available in jacketed hardcover, trade paperback, and ebook editions. Even without all the bells and whistles, they still look amazing.

Poll #1: Help choose which character to make into a bookmark!

One of the other exciting aspects of the Seven Suns campaign is all the amazing artwork developed for the worlds, ships, characters, and events. Much of this art was created by Pedro Cardosa and Rashed AlAkroka as part of an extensive Saga of Seven Suns board game (which is still in development). We have over 90 paintings, never before seen, which will be offered as a giant digital art portfolio for $25. Here are some samples.
We want to make a bookmark to send with our beautiful bespoke Universe and Galaxy book sets. From the art gallery, we've chosen four character paintings to use on the bookmark. Which one do you like best? Please vote in the poll and help us out.
If you missed any of the previous updates, here’s a refresher on the items we’ve featured. The Saga of Seven Suns is the biggest project in my career: 13 books, 6200 pages, 2 million words. I’ve been working in this universe for 25 years! After years of wrangling, I finally have all the rights back, so I can release the complete set for the first time ever. New cover paintings, all new designs, completely reproofed and consistency-checked. And I even wrote an original book in the series, Roamer’s Wrath, which has never been published. The only place to get it is in this campaign. While we will have regular hardcovers, trade paperbacks, and ebooks, the star of this show is the lavish deluxe set with sprayed edges, astronomical endpapers, and color highlights in the interior printing. These will be signed and hand-numbered and limited to only 150 sets, $700 for the complete 13-volume set and $400 for the core 7-novel set.
One of the other extremely limited items is the beautiful Seven Suns graphic novel, Veiled Alliances, originally published in 2002 by Wildstorm. This book has been out of print for more than fifteen years and I have very few copies to offer in the campaign.
